About this venue
Margaret Place is an ultra-boutique hotel that merges futuristic luxury with historic architecture. Designed and operated by young architect Trenton Gauthier, AIA, it is a living laboratory for advancing hospitality, residential design, and event production. Either as a hotel or an event venue, the property creates the feeling of staying at your friend’s mansion. It’s not for everyone, but for those who know™ it, it’s the obvious choice.

Yes, we guarantee/include a timeslot from 2-3pm the preceding day, perfect for following brunch on site. Additionally, at 90 days out we're frequently able to provide a later rehearsal time if desired.
Second Lines are encouraged; we have an exceptional out-and-back route through Margaret Place Park and along Coliseum Way or up to St. Charles Avenue. Second Lines can also create time to “flip” the space between the Ceremony and Reception.
Yes! This website is tailored towards weddings but they're only about a third of our total events.
Up until 90 days out, you can literally cancel with a text message. We don't require a deposit at all (!) and instead ask only a $1500 reservation fee that pays for your onboarding and initial planning session.
Yes, which is why the bar is the only thing you are required to purchase through us. However, as you can see from the options and pricing on our website, we treat the bar as a loss-leader and make our margin on the venue fee instead.
We're really an outdoor venue with some interior spaces. The parlor, our main indoor space, is best used as a lounge, possibly with some special program like the cake cutting or a photobooth.
