What better way to keep your guests dancing & carrying on than to surprise them on the dance floor with a delicious & well-thought-out snack. I'm loving that brides & grooms are doing this more & more because, let's get real, you probably didn't eat any dinner (too excited! too much going on!) AND there's nothing worse than a wedding ending too early. And who doesn't love a bite-sized snack?
There are no hard & fast rules to follow for your late-night wedding snacks, but here are a few guidelines:
- Keep it sweet or savory - anything else would seem more like an appetizer (and calories don't count on your wedding night!)
- Make sure they're bite-sized with as little nonsense to throw away later as possible
- Make sure they can be served on a tray so the server can mosey onto the dance floor & surprise your guests!
Ice cream sundaes & cones, locally made donuts, s'mores, chocolate chip cookies & milk (yes, please!), root beer floats...
Or go ahead and be a genius like this couple & bring the whole ice cream truck!
Think mini! Cheeseburger sliders (or those adorable cheeseburger pops!), puiled pork sliders, little grilled cheeses with mini servings of soup, nachos (my favorite!), personal pizzas... you can literally do almost anything!
And if you just can't decide between sweet or savory, chicken & waffles are always a good idea (said everyone everywhere).
Your guests will thank you!
