Best Bridesmaid Gifts
They love you, they've been there for you, and now they're right here for you. They've probably put up with a lot, attended your parties, spent some of their hard-earned, and maybe even traveled a distance (and maybe more than once!) to support you during this very special time in your life. Be sure they know how grateful you are to have them not only at your wedding, but standing beside you on the biggest & most important day of your life. To say "thank you" to your best gals, put a little thought into it - remember, there's no rule that says you have to give them all the same thing! Give them each something they'll always have to remember you & your Big Day by. Most of these things are less than $20, a couple things aren't. (Oh, and consider giving your maid-of-honor, a little something special!) Read More

Fun-loving brides with country charm and vintage style go seamlessly with the gorgeous venues that Nashville weddings have to offer. Megan & Brett's wedding, captured by Kristyn Hogan Photography, has stuck with me all week! In absolutely every photo you can see the pure joy and excitement that they have to start their lives together. Just from looking at their expressions in this photo you can tell that they are truly in a state of pure bliss. Megan looks like a princess in her gown, and the way the sun is starting to set over the gorgeous venue of Belle Meade Plantation makes this gorgeous couple simply radiant. Read More
Spotlight On: Lynn Easton Andrews of Easton Events
Lynn Easton Andrews of Easton Events is wedding royalty in Charlottesville, and we're only too happy to share her with our friends in Charleston, home to some of the best wedding vendors in the country. Lynn has turned Easton Events into a premier wedding planning firm not only in Charlottesville & now Charleston, but the world. With features in Martha Stewart, Southern Living, Virginia Living, Palate, Town & Country Weddings... you name it, & Lynn's work has been there, and been coveted. Apart from planning nothing less than flawless weddings & events, Lynn recently opened up Pippin Hill Farms, one of Charlottesville's newest wedding venues and certainly one of its most beautiful. (As a matter of fact, just last month it was named one of the "50 most romantic wedding venues in the US by Brides Magazine!) We are thrilled to hear about Zero George St., a boutique hotel in one of the best parts of downtown Charleston (I can't wait to stay there myself!!), and even more pleased to hear about Lynn's newest adventure: a wedding venue in downtown Charleston, called [Cannon Green]. You can rest assured if it's Easton, it's going to be extraordinary. And more beautiful Charleston weddings? Well... We. Cannot. Wait. Read More
How to Propose: The Three Pillars
We founded Bespoke Proposals based on the belief that all marriage proposals should be created with a passion for romance, be centered on exclusivity, and obsess over the details. But how did we decide to focus on those three things? Like planning any event or making any big decision, it is important not to get overwhelmed with the scope of it all. Setting goals and sticking to your top priorities should stay on the forefront of your mind throughout the entire process. We have decided that romance, exclusivity, and details are the three most important pillars to any proposal that we create for our clients. Read More

Rose Gold Engagement Rings
Alright my friends, now I'm not sure if this is exactly a new wedding trend or anything, but I've recently discovered rose gold engagement rings & I just have to share them with you. I've never seen any ring so feminine, so perfect, so absolutely divine. I knew I was tired of silver/white gold, and though I love gold jewelry, I knew yellow gold wasn't quite right either. I knew there was something else, but I just didn't know what... until I discovered rose gold. Read More
Charleston Engagement Shoot with Jeanne Mitchum Photography
Hold on to your seats my friends, because this Charleston engagement shoot really is going to blow you away. Jeanne Mitchum Photography captured Robyn & Micah - an absolutely ADORABLE couple - in all of their favorite places in Charleston, and I can seriously just not get enough of it. They first snapped a few photos on Robyn's stunning front porch, and then they headed to Sugar Bakeshop, who will also be designing their cake. After a little over-the-top cuteness, they then headed to their favorite place to eat, Dellz Deli, who - you guessed it - will also be serving the dinner at their October wedding. Finally, a picnic at White Point Gardens, a little beach frolicking, & some fancy-wear, and this beautiful & inspiring engagement shoot really shows you all that Charleston has to offer. Which is a lot. Read More
A Bridesmaid's Guide to Jewelry
If you opted for strapless bridesmaid dresses, you will want to fill this wide neckline with a strong presence. For example, chokers, chunky pearls, dramatic drops, and necklaces with several strands look best. In terms of earrings, go with a classic drop or stud to complete the look. Read More
Favorite Photo Friday!
I tucked this sweet image away for today the moment I saw this wedding from Thomas Carlton Weddings. These two flower girls are absolutely beautiful, and this photo is absolutely enchanting. The entire Santa Barbara wedding was breathtakingly gorgeous, be sure to fully indulge today on some serious beauty. I think the absense of color in this one lets you focus even more on these two lovelies. We can't think of a cuter pic to send you off to a wonderful weekend-Happy Friday, everyone! Read More
Spotlight On: Diana & Steven of Diana Deaver Weddings
To say that I adore the Charleston wedding photography duo behind Diana Deaver Weddings might be the understatement of the year. Diana & Steven, lovebirds themselves, are two of the warmest, sweetest people around, and their photography is simply incredible, capturing unique moments for their clients to remember for a lifetime. i love the idea of a male & female photography team because, as Diana puts it, they are able to "divide & conquer" - Diana can hang with the bride & her best gals while Steven can kick it with the guys and capture their bonding and the silly times that will invariably ensue in the man cave. How can it get better than that?! I wanted to take the time to get to know these two a little better, and so you can too! Enjoy their wonderful answers, and of course, their beautiful images! xo, Maribeth Read More
Wedding Favor Ideas We Love
I'm a big fan of giving wedding favors to your guests. After all, they did take the time to make it to your wedding, they probably got you a wedding present, and maybe they were even there for your bridal shower & showered you with even more attention & presents. So why not return the favor & give them a little trinket to take home and enjoy? Granted, I see the point in skipping it if you're thinking your only options are bubbles or keychains stamped with your wedding date, but there is really so much more to consider! And I promise, if you give your guests any of these options, they will be enjoyed, and some for years to come! Read More

Spotlight On: Charleston Wedding Caterers Just Eat This!
I wanted to focus a bit on some of the wonderful Charleston wedding catering companies, so I got in touch with Chris Casner of Just Eat This! to learn a bit about what makes his wedding catering stand out from the crowd. We're so happy to share some of his insight about Charleston catering as well as ogle at some mouth-watering images of his favorite dishes. Enjoy!! Read More

2013 Wedding Trends: Chevron Wedding Decor
I'm loving how much chevron-inspired wedding decor I've been seeing in our weddings lately, and I'm hoping to see more! The best thing about chevron, in my opinion, is its understated look that can effortlessly pull an entire wedding together. While I'm not big on themes, I understand the importance of keeping things cohesive so your wedding doesn't end up looking like a circus, shouting to your guests, "I spent WAY too much time on Pinterest!" Adding elements of chevron into your wedding suite, table runners (love!), decor, wedding cake, and even your aisle runner (so chic, so modern, so copying this) instantly creates a sharp, pronounced look, even if the design is in a bunch of different colors throughout the wedding.
