Hi! My name is Steve. I do visual storytelling. I’m married with three kids and in my spare time I record music and build things. I've been filming and photographing weddings since 2009. I love travel and getting to know unique couples.

I like to use a variety of methods to capture a wedding. I like to use film when I can. Instant, medium format, super8, etc. I also offer video services, and packages that combine photo and video. I'm also a licensed drone pilot.

We used Birchfields for our micro wedding this past October. Steve had done one of my good friends' weddings a few years back and I knew he would not disappoint. He is so talented, has a calming presence and knows how to capture the best shots. We got our photos back so quickly and they are all so dreamy and we cannot stop looking at them and reliving our perfect day. Steve takes the time to get to know the couple and makes sure the couple's wants and needs are addressed. He exceeded all of our expectations and we cannot wait to get our video footage back! Highly recommend hiring Steve as your photographer. His prices are completely reasonable and he will not disappoint, a true artist!

If you’re looking for someone to make you feel your absolute best, super comfortable, and give some direction - you’re in the right place. Nicole and I would not have been happier with the choice to book Steve for our engagement/wedding photos and video. We were nervous and uncomfortable with posing and stressing out about how we would look in our photos, but he did his absolute best to make it super fun and stress free. We look at these photos and are still in shock at how beautiful we felt and how much fun we had. He communicated with us every step of the way and took the time to understand and execute our vision. We wanted a couples handshake stop motion … seems a little out there, right? Well … he made it happen and I’m still crying over it today. We had a few photos to swoon over as soon as a few hours later(to hold us over), and the rest came super quickly as well. I could go on and on, but I think you get the point. There is only one answer here - book Steve for your photo & video needs if you’re looking for the best experience out there

Steve at Birchfields totally knocked it out of the park for us. We were on the fence about hiring a videographer, but realized we really wanted the ceremony and speeches captured professionally. We are so glad we found Birchfields. Steve was incredibly helpful from the start - answering all of our questions, giving us ideas, and helping us to come up with the right package to buy. He gave us time to think things through, and we never felt pressured or rushed. On the day of the wedding, he was so easy and fun to work with. He sent us a small film trailer of the wedding the day after, which was so awesome to have right away! We recently got back our full edited films, and they are better than we could have hoped - super well edited, amazing crisp quality, and they really honor the mood and feeling of the whole night. We are so happy to have worked with Steve, and would absolutely recommend him!
