Hawthorne House is Kansas City's premier wedding and event venue. Located on 11 beautiful acres in Parkville, Missouri (the perfect location between the airport and downtown!), Hawthorne House has been specifically designed with your wedding needs in mind. We offer both indoor and outdoor ceremony options with no room flip or Oscar style seating required! Being in the midwest, a built in plan B is vital! We offer glassware AND bartenders included in our beverage packages as well as tables, chairs and linens included in our rental rates! With two dressing suites that were renovated in March of 2019 and a maximum capacity of 300 our space can accommodate weddings with guests counts ranging from 100-300. We are the perfect venue for the timeless couple that wants to have an absolute blast. The Emerson Room

A timeless space to celebrate your start to forever with family and friends!

The Emerson Room is our stunning, spacious reception hall that is perfect for guest counts ranging from 100-300! With no pillars blocking views and a separate area for all miscellaneous tables (gift table, guest book table, buffet) The Emerson Room is the perfect space to host a large dance floor and still have plenty of space for guests to mix and mingle. With Italian crystal chandeliers that are dimmable and windows completely surrounding the entire hall it is the picture perfect backdrop.

    As a planner, I experience and work at a lot of venues in Kansas City - Hawthorne House has it all! Indoor and outdoor ceremony options, a huge front porch and lawn to have an outdoor cocktail hour, and of course the Emerson Room which is absolutely breathtaking! The Bride & Groom had plenty of time and space to hang out and get ready in the morning in their large suites which is a big bonus!! Elizabeth was wonderful to work with throughout the planning process and the team on-site during the wedding were easy to communicate with and readily available if we needed anything. This venue is a must see - I can't wait to be back again soon!

    I've been a wedding planner for 13 years and The Hawthorne House is one of my very favorite venues to work at. They are true professionals in every way. The venue itself is stunning and very unique offering indoor/outdoor ceremony options and the most beautiful area for cocktail hour and reception.
