King Family is a fabulous place to hold a wedding. The Carriage House is a blank slate and can be decorated in so many ways! And honestly, you can't beat the views of the mountains. Gorgeous! The staff is great to work with and the wine is amazing. You truly can't go wrong having your wedding at KFV!
Beautiful venue, rustic but elegant. Absolutely gorgeous mountain and vineyard views. Able to have ceremony outside (as well as cocktail hour since we had such great weather) and reception held indoors. Simple but classy ballroom. Easy to coordinate with staff and with other vendors. Catering staff loved working here.
King Family is a breathtakingly beautiful venue, and the people who work there are wonderful. The coordinators were responsive and kind and helped us understand what we were able to do with their space--which was a lot. We were given so much freedom, and we really think, based on having priced other venues in the area, that King Family is entirely worth its cost. Also, the wine is just about the best in the Piedmont wine region, in our opinion!
Everything about working with King Family Vineyards was amazing, from start to finish. The facilities and grounds are gorgeous, and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. They even allowed us to move the start time of the wedding up a bit to allow for photos afterwards that were still in daylight. Working with them to plan the wedding from overseas was a bit tricky, but they helped us make everything work!
King was the perfect setting for the wedding we wanted. We were "married" to the idea of having our ceremony outside, so we liked they they had outdoor options that would work even if it rained. The wine was amazing, and the people there were very friendly and great to work with. We knew exactly what we were getting, how much it would cost, and who we could call if we needed help.
King Family Vineyards staff was great to work with. We were initially put off by some staff shifting, but were pleased when the new contact we worked with was just as knowledgeable and helpful as the first. Charlottesville is becoming incredibly expansive to do a wedding, but KFV was a great value for the stunning setting and professional staff.
King is an absolutely stunning place to get married! The mountains provide an incredible ceremony background, and the carriage house is a beautiful spot for the reception. King manages to be simple, classic, and slightly rustic while still offering all of the conveniences necessary to successfully host a large event. The KFV staff is professional and easy to work with. They have the event-planning process down to a science because they host weddings constantly. Lauren, the event … coordinator, was helpful during the months leading up to the wedding and wonderfully flexible when we had specific requests. King made it easy to purchase and store wine for the event and to coordinate with our vendors. We couldn’t have asked for a more ideal venue! Read More
King family vineyards has been my dream wedding spot since I was a little kid. Right after I got engaged my dad immediately asked if he should call and book. We actually looked around Charlottesville for venues to be sure and none of them compared. KFV also has an amazing owner and staff working for them. They are there to help you in any way they can and they were nothing short if amazing.
This location was perfect and beyond beautiful for our wedding. The experience working with the staff was equally perfect. We are still getting compliments all the time about how much our guests loved the location of our wedding. We had about 120 guests and it was the perfect size.
KFV was an excellent venue! The event coordinators were wonderful to work with and provided insightful information as well as were patient with my mother who asked tons of questions. It's also beautiful and is stunning in pictures, both inside and out! Plus most vendors are familiar with it, since it's such a popular place. Great off-season price! Beautiful for an indoor winter wedding.
King Family Vineyards is fantastic, one of the most beautiful places in Virginia! Working with their coordinator, Lauren, was a pleasure and their other staff was wonderful too. I did wish they had a couple more wine barrels to use for decor, but I think they are planning on adding more to their inventory. I couldn't imagine getting married anywhere else, and my husband and I will have such great memories every time we return to King Family!
Absolutely beautiful venue! We were looking for a venue with great views and good wine, and King Family is the best of both. It was the perfect blend of indoor and outdoor space, which our guests loved. Everyone there was lovely to work with and very accommodating.
This was always at the top of our list for venues. So much so that we changed the date of our wedding in order to fit into their schedule for May 2012 (just by 1 day). Our guests from the Charlottesville area had been to King Family many times, but the guests from out of town were blown away by the gorgeous views of the blue ridge mountains. The relaxed atmosphere set the perfect tone for the whole night.
