After hanging out with the people, Zac decided to surprise Shannon while she was in the midst of running the Chicago Marathon. He went on to give her three specific mile points in which to look for him. At mile 3, he held up a sign that said "Shannon," followed at mile 7 by signs that said "Shannon will." At mile 13, Shannon suspected he was up to something as she ran by "Shannon will you." Her suspicions turned out to be correct as they met at Buckingham Fountain after she finished the race. With one last sign in hand "Shannon will you marry me," Zac got down on one knee and the rest, as they say, is history.

As the planning began, it became clear rather quickly that a vineyard setting would be the perfect choice for these outdoor enthusiasts.

When asked for her favorite wedding moment, the bride fondly recalls the First Look, which gave Shannon and Zac their own quiet moment while also helping the wedding day nerves to disappear.

Favorite details from the day included the vintage shutters and the stir sticks with the paper flowers, the latter which was handmade by the bride.
