Based in Lancaster, PA, Upohar is known for our multicultural menus featuring traditional dishes from around the world. We can accommodate a wide range of dietary needs, including vegan, gluten-free, soy-free, halal, and more. Dessert options range from traditional wedding cakes, to vegan and gluten-free cupcakes, to specialty ethnic sweets. Our customizable service packages are designed to fit a wide range of service needs and budgets. To create a seamless experience, we can provide bartenders, linen, china, and event coordinators.

Upohar means gift. We offer our clients the gift of authentic, made-from-scratch foods and global flavors wrapped in customized services. We provide the gift of business opportunity to our vendor partners. All our partner chefs are local small businesses owned by women, minorities or immigrants. Owner and founder Srirupa is passionate about the art of cooking and has traveled to various places around the world to learn more about their local cuisine. She and her diverse team will work closely with you during your planning process to ensure that you enjoy your reception, and your guests rave about the food for years to come!

Sample catered weddings

Gretchen and Zach met in the Caribbean, and wanted to include some island vibes in their wedding reception menu and decor choices. They also wanted other vegetarian food that would work with Caribbean flavors. So we curated a cohesive menu featuring Puerto Rican, South Asian and East Asian food, with extensive vegan and gluten-free options!

    Excellent communication throughout tastings, pre-wedding meetings, and the wedding itself. Upohar went to the venue beforehand to make sure they were prepared to bring their food truck. The food was absolutely delicious and we got so many compliments from guests. Josiah was professional and helpful throughout the entire process, and kept the night running very smoothly.

    We were booking out of state for our wedding and the team at Upohar did a fantastic job. It was a multicultural wedding and we were wanting to accommodate West African food with Mid-Westerners. We didn’t want to slice them out too much and we wanted to introduce the flavors of West Africa. Upohar did a great job and the food was well received!

    Upohar was terrific, from the tasting to the wedding day; they were easy to communicate with and provided clear invoices with all information included. They had so many food options that we had trouble choosing our favorites. We loved having the food truck for our guests to pick up appetizers (samosas/empanadas) during cocktail hour and their entrees during the reception. All the food was served hot, and on the bamboo plates I requested. We even had plenty of leftovers to eat with friends for several days after the event. All the food was wonderful, but we especially highly recommend the beef empanadas and pollo asado entree. Don't hesitate to book Upohar for your event; they were a foodie's dream!
