From an early age, I could often be found knee deep in mud & weeds. I spent my most memorable childhood summers exploring the beautiful foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains, gathering treasures under the shade of the oaks on my abuelita’s ranch. When I moved north to Alaska, my love for the natural world grew deeper still. I found myself out foraging food & flowers on our endless trails, returning home with basketfuls of lupine, fireweed, fern, & fritillaria. Designing floral vignettes became a creative outlet as I balanced a career working in nonprofits. I made the jump into full-time floral design 5 years ago & have never looked back!

My love of florals is obviously rooted in their organic nature, but I’m also fascinated by their ability to transform some of life's most special & intimate moments through the unique stories they tell when curated with thought, intention, & precision. I believe that flowers are a deeply emotive medium, connecting us across time & distance; conveying not only my artistic creativity, but also the vision & the sentiments you hope to convey.

    Flowers have always been something so special to me, so when I got married and when I opted for florals for events like a big birthday party, I sought Melissa out. She is so incredibly talented on top of being a wonderful human being. The care and thought she puts into each and every flower choice and the arrangements she ultimately creates are extraordinary. She is very easy to work with and communicate ideas with from start to finish.     Melissa is a floral genius! Not only does she listen and value what clients are envisioning for their wedding, event, etc, she brings her own creativity and expertise to the project to make it epic! As a wedding vendor myself, I've worked with Melissa many times and when I say every single project is beyond gorgeous, I'm not exaggerating! She is also one of the sweetest people I've met.     Melissa was a absolute pleasure to work with! Very professional and gifted at her work. Very knowledgeable too. She took the time to get to know Regan and I to execute our vision perfectly. Using florals to match our color pallet and personality’s. Honeybloom sent us over the moon on our wedding day. You could notice that she took the time and care into each piece she put together using locally sourced florals from Alaska. We love that she supports small local farms. We HIGHLY recommend her for any celebration!!!
