Welcome! Amber here! Amber Waves Bridal's owner. For years I have worked behind the chair and never branched out to outside venues, then, I moved 1/2 way across the state and figured "what better time to try something new?" I have always had a passion for making women feel beautiful and when better to do it then on their wedding day? I still work behind the chair but on the weekends you can find me traveling all over central Illinois working on-site weddings. I wouldn't trade my job for the world!

I have been behind the chair for six years now and I LOVE my job. Believe it or not, before entering this amazing field, I was an elementary school teacher, world of difference right? The aspect that has stayed with me is education! I continue to educate myself on the latest styles of bridal hair, always taking classes, always learning, and always growing. I am a mom to an amazing, wonderful, perfect, never sassy (ha!) 2 year old boy 😭 I am obsessed with him and I’m not sorry about it 🤷🏼‍♀️ I love spending my free time gardening, traveling and volunteering at dog shelters.

    Amber was my hairstylist for my wedding party of 9 and killed it. Amber created a timeline for us to stay on schedule and even finished early! Everyone loved their hair and it stayed all day. From start to finish she was excellent with communication and scheduling. She was detailed in my trial and really cared that I was happy with it! Amber was a joy to work with and I highly recommend her for any bride!

    I would highly recommend Amber to anyone looking for a bridal stylist! I booked her for myself and 3 bridesmaids (from curly to long to straight ect) for my wedding. She was confident, efficient, and genuinely cared about making sure everyone was 100% satisfied with their hair. I had originally been a bit worried that we would be cutting it close with timing, but she was able to get through all of the girls, and made sure to double check everyones hair at the end, with time to spare. The most important thing to them was making sure that we were all happy and confident, which was refreshing and made for a smooth start to the day! She maintained unflappable energy, was full of smiles and was really fun to spend the day with-all by the way, while knocking out PHENOMENAL hair! If you’re lucky enough to fall into a window of their availability, TAKE IT.

    Amber did my updo for a wedding, and did a fantastic job! She listened to exactly what I wanted, and ensured every detail was in place! She was professional and kind the entire time!
