Smudge
My name is Amber, and I'm the owner of Smudge. I have been in the industry for over 6 years working weddings, editorial, and film. Weddings have been a constant throughout my career and styling brides has been my favorite type of make-up. I love being a part of someone's special day and creating a look that makes them feel like the best version of themselves. In 2018 I started Smudge, a team of on-site hair and makeup artists based in South Eastern CT, specializing in weddings. We're an onsite team that serves all of Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, Massachusetts, and beyond. *Select dates available in 2024, Now booking 2025*
We have a studio located in Mystic, CT. Our couples can choose to get ready here or if you want to do your own hair and makeup you have the option of renting out the studio as well. The studio is equipped with everything you could possibly need to get ready for your wedding day, bachelorette night out, or just a night out.

Amazing!
Smudge was amazing to work with! Very streamline process to get info and prices! Prices were amazing! Amber and Sarah were super nice and efficient on wedding day! I can’t thank them enough! Hair and makeup was amazing!
so accommodating!!
I used smudge for my august 2022 wedding and had a total of 10 of us getting ready. Sarah amber and grace were all so accommodating to any touch ups my particular and sometimes picky (lol) wedding party had. Amber was also so responsive throughout the whole coordinating and scheduling process as well! Thank you smudge !
