About Mary Nickol Photography

Mary Nickol

Hello there! I'm Mary, and I'm thrilled you've found yourself here! I started photography as a hobby in high school, and followed my passion for it into college. I received a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Film + Photography from Montana State University in Bozeman. I began shooting weddings in 2019 and I was hooked! I quickly found that I love the fast-paced setting and ability to tell the story of your big day through images.

I take pride in my ability to both keep your day on track, while also setting everyone at ease. I do my best to prep both myself and my couples as much as possible before the big day, so everyone knows what to expect and what their roles will be. My style is a mixture of the posed, classic wedding photos, and candid, real moments that capture the movement and rhythm of the day.

    My husband and I worked with Mary for our winter wedding in 2020. Mary was incredibly flexible as plans had changed many times for our wedding. She was an absolute joy to work with and so much fun! She made us feel comfortable in front of the camera and was able to capture amazing moments and emotions of our day.
