Catalpa Grove Events is a 64-acre family-owned farm and event venue located in beautiful North Carolina, just 20 minutes from downtown Asheville. We believe your event should be as unique as you are and our flexible spaces allow you to bring your vision to life against the beautiful backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Set amongst softly rolling hay fields, romantic glades, quiet forests, and mountains silhouetted in the distance, our venue is ideal for weddings, receptions, micro weddings, elopements, retreats, reunions, and more. Catalpa Grove Events is a venue for all and we are proud to provide a welcoming and inclusive space for joyful gatherings of all kinds.

Celebrate Your Story, Your Way

Our peaceful catalpa grove sits atop a rise, a quiet forest on one side, sweeping views on the other. Two majestic catalpa trees stand in the center of the space, their trunks creating a natural altar. Sheltering branches stretch overhead, carpeting the space in sun-dappled shade. With seating for approximately 100 guests, the grove is a memorable spot for a ceremony or reception.

Yes, you can provide your own alcohol with no additional fees, however, you must hire a licensed vendor to serve the alcohol. The licensed vendor must also obtain an additional $1,000,000 per occurrence for Liquor Liability naming CGE as an additional insured.

We have self-parking on gravel for approximately 15 cars, with limited additional parking along our unpaved, country road. If your guest count exceeds 75 guests, we recommend that you work with your event planner to organize a bus or shuttles.

The property features unfinished, natural terrain. Please get in touch to discuss your specific accessibility needs.

We always require event insurance for liability purposes. You must be covered for a minimum of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 in aggregate.

Yes, in order to ensure you have the best experience possible, we require our clients to hire a wedding planner or day-of coordinator.

Yes, we invite you to work with whichever vendors you prefer. We’re happy to provide vendor recommendations as needed, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch!
