About this venue

Welcome to the Michigan League, the beautiful student union located on the north end of Central Campus. The League is known for its historic architecture, brilliant stained glass windows, and the charming Inn at the League which offers comfortable accommodations for visitors. Stop in between classes or to grab a bite at Maizie’s Kitchen & Market. If the weather is warm, be sure to snap a picture of Sunday Morning in Deep Waters (the famous fountain out front) or the spectacular courtyard garden.

    I love working with the Michigan League! Their staff is exceptionally professional and organized which is very important as a wedding planner. If we discuss something about a couple's day, they always make a note and confirm details so we know it was captured. The League event planners are always willing to go above and beyond for special requests if at all possible. Whether it is a signature drink, a special meal request, or unique decor, they do their best to accommodate. It is the little touches like this that really make your special day even more special. I cannot say enough about the professionalism of the wedding day staff. They always let me know who the banquet manager will be ahead of time so I know who to ask for if something comes up. The banquet managers are so helpful and accommodating to my strange requests and are very effective communicators to the rest of the staff. They are great leaders which creates a very smooth day for everyone. I would be remiss not to mention the food at their venues. I eat a lot of wedding food. We all know the jokes about banquet food. However, the Michigan League is an exception! No matter how many times I eat their food, it never gets old. It is some of the best event food I have ever had. I am pretty sure all of the event coordinators know my favorite dish because I talk about it every time I am there! To summarize, the Michigan League is a great wedding venue. They work well with any vendor and really have a polished system in place to ensure your day is perfect!

    I love working on weddings at the Michigan League! It is a beautiful space, and I've seen couples use different areas in so many different ways to make it their own. Bringing out of town guests to a quintessentially collegiate gothic space feels so special! The event team is first-rate - you'll be well taken care of by the League's thoughtful, professional event team, who are genuinely kind and experienced. I thoroughly recommend!
