Grand Oak Barn

Oaklawn Farms' First & Most Popular Wedding Venue Site

Grand Oak Barn was built with Oak Trees that were harvested off of the Oaklawn Farms grounds. A family effort that took over a year to complete. Over looking Hale Lake under the shade of mature Oak Trees, a waterfall that flows in to Hale Lake, beautiful pastures on one side and woods on the other. Brides dressing room, custom Crab Orchard stone fireplace, kitchen and restrooms.

    The lady was nice but communication between the owners could have been much better. Allowed us to rehearse and decorate the day before which was nice but they knew we were coming and at what time but nothing was prepared or ready such as linens and cleanliness. We done A LOT of work to clean it including cleaning old food and scraping bird poop. We done all the sweeping and dusting and cleaned tables and chairs. We also had to go to walmart and buy a 80 steamer to get the terrible wrinkles out of the linens .. the lady said “ she doesn’t iron” and that we could have paid more for dry cleaning but it was never an option told to us. Things needed mowed and could have been up-kept better. Wedding was beautiful and perfect despite the troubles. Beautiful venue and loved the picture opportunities just wish things were more prepared for the rehearsal and wedding.
