Terrapin Hill Farm is the perfect venue for couples who want a relaxed and enjoyable wedding in a beautiful, rustic, and natural setting. The Chapel is breathtaking, the Farmhouse provides dressing rooms and overnight accommodations, and the Pavilion is the perfect place to celebrate with dining, dancing and a nearby bonfire. The farm is easy to get to and centrally located between Lexington and Louisville. With over 18 years of experience, owners Pete and Brenda Cashel provide personalized service to ensure that your planning process is effortless and your wedding day runs smoothly. They offer everything you need for any event, from a small celebration to a destination wedding with hundreds of your family and friends.

The Pavilion - Reception

Simple yet Elegant

The 40'x60' pavilion can hold up to 150 people for a sit-down dinner, plus room for dancing. The twinkly lights and chandelier provide the ambiance, and you can add any decorations you'd like. Your band or DJ can set up on a stage that can be adjusted for the size you need. Accessible restrooms and plenty of space for parking are close by. Kids of all ages enjoy the nearby playground and there's a bonfire pit just below the pavilion for after-dark fun. (Serves as ceremony site in case or rain)

Have both your ceremony and reception at the farm, with the option to on extra time such as day before, day after, or overnights. You can also choose the services you want (e.g. officiant, day-of- coordinator, etc.) Available any day of the week; 20% discount given for Monday - Thursday weddings.

A Micro-Wedding is something in between an elopement and the traditional wedding. If you are looking for something more intimate, simple, and affordable, this may be the package for you. Available Sunday - Thursday. Up to 30 guests included, up to 20 more may be added on for $30/guest.

    My wedding at Terrapin Hill Farm was an absolute dream come true! We opted for a festival-style weekend celebration, and from start to finish, it was pure magic. First off, the setting itself is breathtaking. The ceremony at the top of the hill was simply unforgettable, and the views were spectacular, giving our event its name, "Hitched on the Hill." One of the standout features of Terrapin Hill Farm is the genuine care and support provided by the owners, Pete and Brenda. From the moment we booked, they treated us like family, ensuring that every detail was taken care of seamlessly. Their warmth and dedication truly made all the difference. The accommodations were fantastic, with options for both camping and staying in the farmhouse or cabins. Our guests loved the cozy farmhouse with its full kitchen and ample space. Plus, having everyone stay on-site added to the sense of community and fun. Pete's creativity truly shone when it came to our ceremony. Instead of a traditional arch, he helped us create a breathtaking area for our fire heart, symbolizing the merging of our lives. It was a moment we'll cherish forever. The entertainment was top-notch, with an early evening band and a late-night DJ keeping the party going. We brought in a food truck for easy dining, and our decision to have a s'mores bar instead of a traditional cake was a huge hit. And let's talk about that bonfire! A massive blaze built from a hollowed-out tree burned well into the early hours, providing the perfect backdrop for late-night conversations and laughter. Throughout the entire planning process, communication with the venue was a breeze. I never once felt stressed or overwhelmed, thanks to their professionalism and attention to detail. Booking Terrapin Hill Farm for our wedding was hands down the best decision I ever made. It's a place filled with love, laughter, and memories that will last a lifetime.     Terrapin Hill exceeded our expectations for our wedding. We booked an entire weekend to spend on the farm with our closest people and wish we could have stayed longer. There are so many beautiful places to do a ceremony/ take photos. The farm owners, Brenda and Pete, work so hard to make your day just what you want!
