Come throw the party of your dreams at The Black Diamond Lodge. Host your ceremony at one of our two outdoor ceremony sites and host your reception for up to 94 in our mountain view dining room. The Black Diamond Lodge offers on-site lodging to turn your wedding from a 3-hour experience into a 3-day experience! Located just 30 minutes from Downtown Durango in the beautiful Hermosa Valley near Purgatory Ski Resort, The Black Diamond Lodge provides a central place to celebrate your weddings and create memories with your guests. The Black Diamond Lodge can accommodate up to 46 guests, with 12 bedrooms and private baths. Lodging is billed separately and pricing varies based on season. Your lodging package gives you full private 24-hour access to our spa with two hot tubs, a steam shower, and a sauna, as well as our game room, movie room, and community kitchen and dining room that can sit up to 80 people. The Black Diamond Lodge can accommodate weddings of up to 100 guests.

My husband and I got married at The Black Diamond Lodge last October and I can't speak highly enough about this venue! The aspen grove was everything we had dreamed of for our ceremony site, and the lodge itself felt cozy and intimate for our reception. We also loved that we could stay at the lodge for the whole weekend with our wedding party and close family. The Black Diamond Lodge team is also amazing to work with - especially Amber - and they turned our romantic, fall wedding vision into a reality better than we could have ever imagined. We are so grateful to have found the perfect venue for our day. Highly recommend The Black Diamond Lodge!

We were looking for a venue to gather friends and family in the mountains for a whole wedding weekend, from day-before hikes to a ceremony site and then late-night fire pit. Finding all of that, plus good catering (thanks Blake!) and a newly remodeled accommodations all in one place truly made our planning easy. Most importantly: Rose and Amber were wonderful, helping us not only with details at the lodge but finding great vendors, arranging last-minute transportation, and generally rolling with all the surprises for a stress-free weekend. We'll be back to visit!

We sleep 46 people in 12 rooms and include access to a community kitchen, large game room, movie room, breakfast room and spa area with three hot tubs, a sauna and steam room. We have a flexible payment structure that allows guests to pay us directly so groups almost always pass all lodging costs directly to their guests. There are also many condos nearby that are able to sleep an additional 100+ guests.

Our nightly lodging rates vary by day of the weekend and season and typically run between $2500-5000/night depending on the time of year. Our venue packages run $4000-9000. For weddings, most guests have an overall wedding budget ranging from 25k-50k. We do offer hourly venue rates for rehearsal dinners and other special events depending on availability. We offer MANY different discounts so we prefer to make each couple a custom quote after their walkthrough.

For weddings and *most* events we require event liability insurance (typically around $150), a day-of coordinator (our in house starts at $1500), a bartender (our in house starts at $50/hr) and a licensed caterer or approved private chef. Our space is bring your own alcohol (or even better, have it delivered from our favorite liquor store). You are welcome to hire whatever florist, dj, hair and makeup person, magician act, photo booth, baker, etc that you would like and we have LOTS of favorite vendors to recommend if you need a little help.

Our ideal wedding size is between 60-80 people. Our MAX capacity is 94-110.

We LOVE hosting weddings and events! However, to keep our guests, staff and property safe, we require staffing, insurance and an event coordinator when guests host parties in our space. That being said, if you are planning on hosting a wedding of ANY kind or another party with off-site guests in attendance, then we require you pay a venue fee.

We are so so excited you found us on Airbnb and VRBO. We use these third party booking systems to help blow out our last minute dates. You'll find that our dates less than 90 days out are priced around $2000 + fees. If a date is less than 30 days out *lucky you*, we drop our rate to $1500/night + fees (sometimes lower for the REALLY lucky ones).

WE love that you still want to get married with us, but for our guest to get the TRUE Black Diamond Lodge experience, we like them to stay on property. Lodging is required unless your requested event date is a weekday or within the next 90 days. All requests are pending availability.
