The Beauty of Emotion on Your Wedding Day

The Beauty of Emotion on Your Wedding Day

Your wedding photos. One of the most important wedding decisions you'll make is who will be taking them. Compounding the magnitude of this decision is the sheer variety and quality of photography available to you. With so many talented wedding photographers available for your big day, each one with a unique personality, style, and technique, it can be a challenging process to say the least.

Ultimately you want to choose the wedding photographer whose work speaks most powerfully to you and your fiancé, and with whom you can feel comfortable spending time with, because the relationship between a bride and her photographer(s) is indeed a very personal one.

It is so important to be able to relax and let your true personalities shine through on your wedding day. Another important question to ask yourself is this: "How will I feel about my wedding photos in 20, 30, or even 40 (eek!) years?" Wedding trends will come and go (and yes, you will want a photo of those lace doilies you painstakingly crocheted yourself), but remember that it's the emotions that can only be captured in a split second that will bring back the memories: moments between you and your dearest family members in anticipation of your nuptials, your face as you walk down the aisle, your husband's face as he sees you for the first time in your beautiful wedding dress, the moment you say I do, the look on your father's face as you dance with him on your big day!

We have combed through some of our favorite wedding photos & found a handful that invoke emotion - even when we don't know the people personally. It's not the pictures you pose for, it's the moments in-between - getting ready, walking down the aisle, the first kiss, the first dance - and all those stolen moments where time just seems to stop. So grab some tissues, take it in, and don't forget how important those photos will be when you are looking back!
