I just can't get enough of this beautifully rustic 4th of July wedding in Ann Arbor. Shannon & Christopher picked such a lovely venue for their special day in Misty Farm and The Valley. The ceremony took place in a charmingly decorated barn, where rich wood and candlelight created a warm, intimate aura. The tented reception took full advantage of the lush green landscape, and the décor — which utilized a delightful color scheme of pinks and oranges — was simple, yet sweet. Add in adorably quirky details like the wine cork that featured in the groom's boutonniere, and you have me totally hooked! Many thanks to Mishelle Lamarand Photography for documenting this wonderful day. Enjoy the album, and join me in wishing all the best to Shannon & Christopher.

As a couple, our favorite activities involve anything that gets us outdoors together. We love to spend our weekends golfing, attending country concerts, and simply spending time with our wonderful family. On week nights though, we do enjoy some simple nights at home, like cooking dinners together and watching home renovation shows.
Christopher and I met unexpectedly through friends. Upon meeting, we instantly felt a connection and spent the whole night talking. After meeting we were pretty much inseparable, spending as much time as possible getting to know each other. Some couples may say that they have a ton in common with one another. Christopher and I realized right away that we share some of the same interests, but also, have a lot NOT in common, and we LOVE that! I truly believe it's one of the reasons we work so great together. It truly inspires us to grow as individuals and as a couple. Learning and developing different qualities from one another continuously motivates us to be the best we can possibly be.
As soon as we got back from our honeymoon we started a full kitchen remodel, working as a team to build the home of our dreams. We can't wait to one day expand our family and live out all of our dreams together.
