Vendors in this Wedding
we used one of the red trolly's for a quick getaway as part of our big exit as well as a ride to the botanical gardens for pictures. they were courtious and prompt and willing to circle the block a couple times while we were lining up.
City bakery was very good. We will say that the cake didn't taste as good as it did during the taste test, but that may have been just how it goes when the recipe goes from the smaller cake to a larger one. This was really only the case for the red velvet, the others we heard were excellent and the grooms cake was delicious. Unfortunately, their main baker ended up leaving about a month before the wedding, so that was a little disappointing, but her assistant did a great job with the decorating of the main cake. The grooms cake picture that was sent to us was a little different than what we received but it was still done well. All in all they were great, and the pastry and bagel tray the next morning along with the coffee were pretty awesome as well!
Steve was great. He came to the rehearsal and brought his bag pipes so we could get a feel for the sound and we could tell it was going to be a perfect addition for the space without being over powering. He heard our thoughts on song choices and he countered with some others that turned out to be awesome choices. It really was the perfect touch and was an awesome addition.
sunny point is one of our staples any time we come to town. therefore we knew we wanted to have it as some part of our weekend. they were a fantastic choice as a venue for the rehearsal dinner. parking was a bit tough but it always is there. despite their small size they still were able to take our party and seat us on the patio and went above and beyond with the cheese plates. the service as usual was awesome and the food was great, again as always. They do also cater and we had originally talked about doing that and their menu would've been excellent but we ended up having to switch things around which I am so thankful they were able to.
Phillip was excellent. he was very personable and approachable throughout the entire process and you could tell he truly enjoyed what he did. We also did the marriage enrichment program which was a good program and we would have gotten more out of it if we hadn't lived together and ready talked about a lot of those things, however there were still a couple times were we learned something about one another. But for a couple who has never lived together or talked a lot about the details of their life it is a useful program. For the rehearsal he did a great job adding the hand fasting which was something he had never done before. Additionally he was of great help to each of us when it came to writing our own vows. He was also a very calm person but had good energy and his sermon was excellent with a little bit of humor but not so much that it felt showy.
Sarah was awesome! Even going back to the engagement photos she was able to get the groom to be to loosen up and not mind the process as much and by the end of the day enjoy it. On the wedding day she felt like a part of the wedding and family and less like someone there to just take pictures. she really seemed to get involved and it was awesome. She was extremely professional and everyone of the family members commented on how much fun she was and how much they enjoyed her presence there. she didn't force a bunch of pictures on us but we got to do the ones we wanted which was also nice. She stayed a little later than we expected which was greatly appreciated and we highly recommend her.
we had Jason who did a great job. we talked to him on the phone and we had the sheet filled out from the company so that when we talked to him everything went very smoothly and we were able to plan out the evening. He even went above and beyond and fielded a call from the brides father to make a special request. On the wedding day he did a great job keeping everything flowing and allowing very little down time and the music was excellent. we told him what kind of music we liked and what we didn't and it turns out we needed some of the music we weren't as big a fans of for the dancing to keep going and he was able to pick up on that during the reception to keep everyone up on the floor. He did a great job!
The venue was fantastic. The space really doesn't need a lot in regards to decoration. a little up-lighting done by the DJ for the reception was all it needed and of course the table decor and it was all that was needed. From there the staff couldn't have been better. Chef kim does an amazing job from day 1. Even when we were still shopping around she took the time to talk me through what I should be looking as we contact other vendors. Once we decided to book with Celine, chef Kim continued to wow us and continued to work so well with us to help us get everything done we needed. She provided a tasting and met with us and family multiple times. On the day of the wedding it couldn't have gone more smoothly and her and the staff were incredible and so helpful. not a one of them acted like they didn't want to be there and the food was fantastic. We can't say enough about Celine and Company on Broadway! they truly our big day come together and make it perfect!
