Thank you Asheville, for always giving us the most laid-back couples, the most gorgeous settings, and Southern charm with so much style. Asheville photographer, Regina Holder gives us the most stunning images, that perfectly tell the story of this sweet couple. We could gaze at Pam & Willis's Asheville gem all morning long!
From the photographer....
Pam and Willis came to the North Carolina mountains for their intimate wedding celebration at Mountain Magnolia Inn. Pam is a doctor doing her residency at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX. Pam and Willis have traveled the world seeking adventures, including hiking, white water rafting, biking through Italy, skiing in Tahoe and snorkeling in Tahiti.
Mountain Magnolia Inn was the perfect location for their wedding celebration with most of the 70 guests from around the world staying at the Inn. After an afternoon of thunderstorms and delays, the skies cleared up and the ceremony took place under the giant historic oak tree with the branches that lay across the ground. Pam wore a beautiful beaded dress from designer Sue Wong. Their wedding was completely DIY with Pam and her sisters making her bouquet out of broaches from family members, the centerpieces had fun LED arrangements with postcards from their adventures on the tables and strings of butterflies hanging from the oak tree. Other than Mountain Magnolia, who also catered the event, the only other vendors were the World's Best Carrot Cake, who did the cupcakes, the DJ and photographer. Willis' mother performed the ceremony and Pam's aunt, uncle and cousin sang during the ceremony.
Family and friends were asked to write limericks instead of doing toasts, which added a lot of fun to the reception. Then, Pam changed into a 2nd dress and her ballroom shoes and everyone danced the night away. Pam and Willis are incredible dancers and even performed the same choreographed dance from Dirty Dancing (which was filmed nearby) to "Time of My Life" and she did the lift!
