From the lovely bride...
Right from the start we loved Camp Lucy. It was the first venue we visited and we knew then that this was where we wanted to celebrate our special day. Camp Lucy is beautiful on its own and doesn’t need much, but our wedding planner, Leave the Details 2 Me and our florist, Flora Fetish, turned this fabulous venue into a stunning masterpiece.
Kenny and I wanted to convey drama, but also keep a very soft, light color palette with a hint of sparkle. It might have been cold and misty outside, but the ambiance and feeling inside was warm and full of love. We absolutely would not have changed a thing!
Kenny grew up in Ennis, Texas and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin. He's lived in Austin for several years and is an executive in software sales. Aside from an avid obsession with college football, Kenny enjoys reading, movies, conversation, service in Christ, and all things "Longhorn".
Ashley is a native Texan, born and raised in Katy, Texas. She currently works as a Property Manager for a commercial real estate firm in Austin, Texas. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in December of 2010 with a Bachelor's degree in Geography and Sociology. Ashley enjoys a good book, watching movies, cooking, and pugs.
Kenny and I first met walking our dogs during the fall of 2010. Our two pups were so tenacious in sniffing one another that it led to our fateful meeting. We dated for 3 years before Kenny proposed. My best friend and Maid of Honor had hosted a Christmas themed Murder Mystery party. I played the character of Connie Claus and Kenny was Kris Krangle. After the 'murder' occurred and the announcements were made, Kenny made an interjection and an announcement of his own. I at first thought this was all part of the 'murder mystery plot', until Kenny got down on one knee and pulled out a ring! I said "Yes!" and thus the planning began.
