About Ampersand Photography

Ampersand Photography

I started Ampersand Photography in 2022, but I’m not new to the scene. I’ve been in the wedding photography industry for 8 years as a second shooter and offering limited packages on my own. I also offer family portraits, head shots, milestone sessions, boudoir, senior portraits and more. I love audiobooks, potatoes in all forms (including raw), playing games, peanut butter, ice cream, dogs, and truly just being around people. I love listening to others' stories. I love grandparents. I love people, genuinely.

My clients often say that I provide structure to make their day so much easier than they anticipated, and that they feel naturally comfortable around me. I believe communication is key to your day running smoothly, as well as being available to answer your questions! I don't believe in strangers, just friends I haven't met yet. I love people for who they are, and celebrate the human experience across all of our spectrums.

    Sam is wonderful. She is easy to work with, quick to respond, and listens to what you want. Her rates are also reasonable. My husband and I worked with her for the first time for our engagement session and she was a great fit. We were able to relax and have fun. She photographed our wedding (and helped me plan the timeline and any other questions I had regarding the wedding) Her work is beautiful! We can’t rate her highly enough.

    Sam really takes the time to get to know you, and what you want for pictures of your day. She is professional, on time, fun and goes above and beyond for your photos! She did our wedding in 2019 and my maternity photos in 2023. Excellent quality! Up for ideas and candids. Highly recommend her, she’s a wonderful photographer and human!!
