When you mix a soft and dreamy pink gown with the industrial feel of Brooklyn, you just know it's going to be a good day! Bonnie & Lauren was there to capture every delicate detail of this spring celebration, and we are seriously getting swept away in the romance of it all. The Brooklyn Winery was the perfect intimate setting to celebrate with Emily & Henry's nearest & dearest, and we simply wouldn't have it any other way. Congrats to these lovebirds, we are so happy for you both! xoxo
From the bride....
We knew pretty much the moment we walked in to the Brooklyn Winery that it was the place for us. It had the exact feeling we would have tried to create elsewhere, so we really couldn't imagine doing it anywhere else. Everyone we worked with there was amazing, so we knew we were in for a fabulous night.
Our favorite moment was at the end of the ceremony, right before our minister pronounced us husband & wife. He raised his arms and we both looked at each other thinking, "This is IT!" And then we kissed and we cried and we wanted to do it all over again.
I'm a huge book-lover, so Henry humored me and agreed to have a lot of literary touches in the decor. The table numbers were painted on pages taken from love stories and my classic Harry Potter books decorated the welcome table. We also had two books on the bar that were carved into an "E" and an "H", and we had instructions to guests written on Scrabble pieces that said "Take a Seat," "Leave a Note," and "Cards." My friend Kate and my mom helped me with these details and I love how they turned out!
