Two weddings in one?! Yes, please! Nothing makes us happier than getting to celebrate a precious couple twice. Although Karlie & Tarang currently reside in Houston, they met while attending the University of South Carolina and thought Charleston would be the perfect location for their wedding. Boy were they right! The Friday before the ceremony they had a wonderful gathering at Charlestowne Landing for the Mehndi ceremony and Sangeet, and for their special day they had two beautiful ceremonies at Magnolia Plantation. The first was a Hindu ceremony and then an American ceremony at sunset. Shout out to Phase 3 Photography for being there through it all and capturing some beautiful ceremony shots, not to mention all the fun-filled reception photos! Congrats Karlie and Tarang!
Tarang is an accountant in Houston, TX.
Currently pursuing a graduate degree at Baylor College of Medicine.
From the bride and groom........
"Tarang and Karlie first met at the University of South Carolina. Karlie was a Biology major while Tarang was majoring in Accounting. Karlie was first introduced to Tarang by his roommate, Ronak. While walking Karlie home one night, Tarang asked if she wanted to go on a date. Karlie said yes and the two of them went out for dinner and a movie (the movie being "Elf", since both of them appreciated a good Will Ferrell flick).
Tarang and Karlie continued dating for many years following. During those years Tarang tried to teach Karlie golf, with the end result being that Karlie is now the official cart driver. Along the way, we also picked up a hitchhiker by the name of JoJo the cat and have had many misadventures.
In 2009, Tarang and Karlie moved to Houston so that Karlie could pursue a graduate degree at Baylor College of Medicine. After living in Houston for a couple of years, Tarang finally decided to pop the question.
The proposal was very sweet and Karlie was oblivious (lol). Tarang took Karlie to Hermann Park on Cinco de Mayo. While Karlie was blabbing on about the ducks, Tarang was trying to get her to the perfect spot. Finally the two of them made it to the Japanese tea garden and Tarang proposed under the vines and greenery. Karlie couldn't have been happier!"
