Vendors in this Wedding
Two of the band members played horns escorting the wedding party from the church to the William Aiken House. They marched us down the side walks, while we celebrated and laughed the entire walk. It was such a memorable experience!
Tiger Lily was a great to work with, very professional and helpful throughout the process. They were flexible until we were able to capture exactly what I wanted with the reception flowers/decor. I wanted a lot of whites and greens, incorporating palms that were beautiful. We used cotton for two beautiful wreaths used at both he church and reception. They used everything I wanted in such creative ways!
The William Aiken House is such a charming and classic setting for a Charleston wedding. Located on Upper King Street it walkable to Charleston's best hotels, restaurants, and churches. I really wanted all of my guests to be able to walk from the church to the reception and to their hotels, making it a perfect location. The formal parlors open up to the courtyards, providing a lot of space on the bottom level. There are elegant dining rooms and a balcony on the second level, that provide additional room. With a high percentage of rain on my wedding night, we set up tents over the majority of the grounds. The clear tents provided coverage without taking away from the venue. With a venue like this, there is no need to over do it with decor, flowers, etc. Our wedding planner had experience working with the WAH which was also a big help!
The band was excellent! We had two of the band members walk the wedding party from the church to the WAH, playing their horns. It was so much fun!! The band itself was great, playing exactly the kind of music we wanted. They didn't take a lot of breaks so everyone danced all night. Fun times!
Jennifer was so easy to work with, and always made us feel comfortable and relaxed. For our engagement pictures she photographed us in several locations around Charleston, giving us a nice variety. Jennifer took hundreds of photographs for my bridal portrait pictures, and always had such creative ideas. She was great about letting me peek at a few :) The wedding and rehearsal photos all turned out beautiful. I would highly recommend her to any bride and groom!
I don't even know where to start. Not living in Charleston I had to do a lot via email, texts or cell. Ali and her team were excellent. From the day my mother and I met her until the last minute of the reception, Ali was there in the background working. I never worried about one thing! If I didn't like a suggestion, she would find more choices until I was happy! She stayed in contact with me and my mother if not daily then weekly! Her staff is wonderful! The girls were always keeping me updated on hotels and anything else I needed. I owe everything to A.Caldwell for making my wedding one of the best days of my life! I highly, highly recommend!
The Plantation Singers were wonderful. They sang while guests were being seated. This set the "Charleston" tone I wanted for our ceremony/reception. They also sang "Oh Happy Day" as we were exiting the church. Friends and family are still talking about how much they enjoyed the Plantation Singers.
We loved our choice of music and working with OtherBrother Entertainment. Everything was easy and professional. The bands we used were professional, and knew how to work with the crowds. They brought a lot of fun energy to the reception.
