Vera Wang, Kate Spade, and sweet Charleston came together to give us one beautiful summer bride! Margaret & Jesus escaped from the city for this memorable Southern love affair, and boy are we glad they did! Florals to die for, weeping Spanish moss, and images from Donna Von Bruening are just a few of the things that make this day so great. Drive right into the delicious beauty, and enjoy! And a big congratulations to the newlyweds.
From the photographer....
Margaret & Jesus married on June 22, 2013, under large majestic oaks on the Marshlands of South Carolina. The couple lives in D.C., and wanted an intimate Southern destination wedding. The overall vibe was natural, beautiful,Haha and elegant.
Margaret wore a stunning Vera Wang wedding gown and gold sparkly Kate Spade flats. She carried loose stems of white and yellow seasonal flowers with a pop of pink. The ceremony was lined with tin bails of sweet baby's breath flowers. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed the cocktail hour on custom built wooden tables draped with lace and beautiful flowers. The design was harmonious with the environment.
For the reception, Margaret & Jesus joined their guests in a large tent draped with cafe lighting and enjoyed local Southern flair foods and seafood paella. The couple loves hot sauce so there was a hot sauce bar. The Tao Reed band played well into the night. Everyone lit paper lanterns in the end and were whisked away in a vintage green car.
It was an celebration with impeccable style in a natural and elegant setting!
