I never thought I would be a wedding photographer. I started my professional career in Boulder, Colorado, riding on the backs of motorcycles, chasing professional cyclists through winding roads and epic climbs. I never thought I would find another career as exhilarating and rewarding but I was wrong. I photographed weddings in Colorado, but it wasn’t until moving East, to Charlottesville, Virginia, that I fell in love with them. I love all of the beauty of the flowers and the pretty clothing, but what I love most is documenting the love between the two of you, and the complete joy of your best day ever. We celebrate all couples!

The same team of second photographers: I don’t like to leave things to chance and want to ensure that I know exactly who will be part of my team on your day! Directing instead of posing: You have a beautifully unique way of holding hands, leaning into each other, and smiling. You have your way of being you - and we want to celebrate that with timeless imagery.   Extended previews: 80-100 images in the first few days after the wedding when you are most excited to get to share them! We hand retouch all your images to ensure each one is free of distractions or imperfections.

    What can I say about Beth that will adequately capture how incredible she is? She is a phenomenal photographer and human being alike. We initially reached out to her based on a recommendation from a friend. Although she had already been fully booked for the year, she was available on our date and offered to take us on. She is responsive, kind, and was very helpful throughout our planning process. Her questionnaires are very detailed, and you know exactly what to expect from her in terms of her contract and deliverables. Our engagement photos (part of the wedding package!) were fantastic. Not only were the photos gorgeous, but she was so easy to work with. She is great at making you feel comfortable and natural. She is also SO FUN! She will be down for anything you want to try. If you want someone who can capture your unique spirit and flair, she is the best choice. Prior to our wedding day, she had a call with us to make sure she was optimally prepared for the day. And prepared she was. She was on top of it at all times. So many people approached us to say how wonderful she and her second shooter were. Incredibly, within 12 hours of the wedding's end, we had a preview gallery of 99 photos ready to view. Unbelievable! The photos are GORGEOUS. Words cannot capture. So many people have reached out to tell us how beautiful the photos were, like they were created for a magazine. We could not be happier, and I have no doubt the final album will be equally spectacular. For memories of a once-in-a-lifetime event that will last a lifetime, choosing 3 Cats Photos is a no-brainer.

    Having Beth as our photographer was hands down one of the best decisions we made in the whole wedding planning process. Seriously, if you want the most beautiful pictures you could ask for that capture a moment perfectly, you've come to the right place. From our initial conversations, to our engagement pictures, to our wedding day, Beth put us at ease, made taking pictures fun instead of dull, and more importantly made every photo look incredible (even the ones we felt a little silly taking!). You hang out with your photographer for quite a while on your wedding day, and I'm so glad that Beth was the person we got to spend it with. Our families couldn't get over how stunning her pictures are - she truly gave us the ultimate gift of capturing such a special day perfectly, and we will cherish the pictures for years to come.     Beth is 100% the best wedding photographer I could have asked for and we are SO happy with how she captured our special moments. My husband (then boyfriend) had originally found Beth when trying to find a last minute photographer to capture our surprise engagement (over 4th of July holiday weekend nonetheless) and Beth was one of the very few who happily responded that she'd help him out! Those pictures were wonderful and she then took our formal mountain-top engagement pics a year later as well. She made every moment fun during that and our wedding and guided us on what to do -- the final product is all beautiful. We look natural in the pictures without appearing staged. She is wonderful, reliable and kind above all else!
