If we could properly introduce ourselves, we'd invite you over to our little home meeting studio in the Northwest cornfields of Chicago with the french press prepped and the music ready. Until then, if you'd like to grab a cup of hot coffee and get cozy with that laptop, we'd love to tell you about our dream job as Fine Art Wedding Photographers in the Chicago and Lake Geneva area.
We are drawn to natural light, natural moments, and capturing the love and light we see in others. We gravitate toward simple elegance combined with elements of nature or urban architecture. We are thankful to live halfway between Downtown Chicago and Southern Wisconsin so that every wedding and every weekend keeps us on our toes. One day we might be directing a bridal party photo in front of the Chicago skyline, and the next weekend we might be shooting a tented farm wedding in Wisconsin. We love it all!
One of our most favorite parts of capturing weddings are looking for those little moments that most often go unnoticed during the hustle and bustle of the day. Maybe it's the sweet flower girls who are quietly playing while the bridesmaids are in a flurry to get their hair and makeup finished. Or, maybe it's the guests arriving to the ceremony hugging one another because it has been years since they've last seen each other. Most importantly, it's those moments between our couples that we look forward to the most. Those first looks between a bride and her groom when the chaos and nerves of getting ready and everything that has been leading up to this day are put to ease because they are simply together. And being together makes everything better. ...and don't even get us started on Dad seeing his pride and joy in her wedding gown for the first time. We truly are privileged to capture these moments and we do not take that honor lightly. We want to make sure we are there every step of the way for our couples. From helping plan an engagement session that speaks about who they are and how their story began, to giving advice on their timeline to ensure they carve out a moment for themselves to breathe and take it all in.
We truly love what we do and we are so thankful to call this our full time profession and passion.
