This beauty from Ashley Kidder Photography is one of those weddings where you simply must drop everything to share it with the world, it's just that good. For starters, summer in Denver is simply divine, and Annie & Drew had the kind of day that every couple dreams about. Their style was clean and sophisticated, with navy blue accents, an urban setting for their vows, and bold florals to give the day a big dose of fun that just can't be beat. We couldn't think of a better start for the week, and we are pleased as punch to share this gem with you lovelies today! xoxo
From the photographer…
Annie + Drew were married this past August on the fourth-floor terrace of the Hyatt Convention Center Hotel in the heart of downtown Denver, Colorado. Although rain threatened their day early on, the Colorado sun came out to shine just as the ceremony was starting. The terrace at the venue provides nearly-panoramic views of the downtown Denver skyline, which is what Annie + Drew loved so much about their venue. They chose navy as their main color for the wedding, with navy bridesmaids dresses and navy accents throughout -- the shoes, the garter (which is an ode to Annie's time at the Delta Delta Delta sorority at Colorado State University) and navy ties for the groom + groomsmen. Splashes of pink in the bouquets, cake and boutonnieres added a pastel touch to the strong + bold navy, which balanced their color palette well. After the ceremony, the couple moved locations to the Soiled Dove for the reception, which featured an electric ambiance with purple, pink and blue uplights. A custom marquee displaying the letters A + D welcomed guests to the reception. Cupcakes + a small wedding cake with the skyline of Denver emulated on the sides were the treats for the guests. And finally, at the end of the evening, Annie + Drew had a grand sparkler exit.
