This Hudson Valley wedding is sure to shake things up a bit… in the best possible way! Let's begin with Heather's dress, shall we? Part feathers, part cascading tulle, I don't know if I have ever laid eyes on such a unique beauty and am completely smitten: absolute perfection. Then there is this bride and groom. If they come any more head-over-heels and all around fun, I surely have not seen it, and the love and emotion jumps right out of each and every one of these images from JBM Weddings. The decor in this soirée is unbelievable, and from streamers lining the reception hall to bigger than life photo montages to the gold cake, Heather along with Elite Wedding and Event Planning created a true masterpiece, and this beauty is hitting the top of our favorites list and staying awhile.

    From the planner....

Heather & Matt wanted a rustic country wedding. They wanted something that could be both fun and relaxing. It had to be non-traditional and a weekend affair where all of their amazing friends & family could come to witness the exchange of their vows, celebrate their marriage, and take in the natural beauty around them. There was no place more perfect than Menla Mountain Retreat. This was a one of a kind destination.

    Do-It-Yourself

Heather (aka queen of DIY) and her mother made a lot of the decor. They decorated mason jars with lace, burlap and glitter, filled burlap bags with tea and treats, and with the assistance of some good friends, made ruffled burlap table linens. I should also point out that Heather's mother made the journey all the way from Chicago with her car packed full with 20+ mason jars and tons of other wedding items. A special & personal touch created by Heather was a montage of photos clothes-pinned to twine covering a section of the entryway wall. I had to stop sending her DIY projects at one point because she just couldn't stop putting her friends to work helping her. She wanted to incorporate all of the ideas.
