As if we weren't already in love with sweet, southern weddings, this summer beauty is simply helping us seal the deal! We are so thankful that Mary Deaton Studios decided to share this lovely Knoxville dream with us. With the soft, pale colors coming from the wedding party paired with the rich, deep greenery of Meadhaven, there's nothing more pleasing to the eye. And to top off such a stunning day, Alyson and Chase got to spend their evening under twinkling, bistro lights with all of their family and friends nearby. Sounds like a dream come true to us! Sending you our congratulations, Alyson and Chase!
They were both athletes at Vanderbilt, Alyson was a pole vaulter and Chase played baseball. They met through some mutual friends at dinner at Bricktops, the same restaurant where Chase would later propose. They spent about six months getting to really know each other as friends and then Chas left for spring training with the St. Louis Cardinals. It’s like the saying goes “you don’t know what you’ve got til it’s gone” and they started dating and have been together since.
Alyson and Chase made use of Meade Haven and it’s beautiful garden that was originally planted in the 1930’s. (The Lazenby’s are family friends who opened their home to them). This really set the theme for the wedding. With the intricate elegance of the garden we hardly needed any decorations so we used beautiful candles and lighting to accent. The florist, Emily Dale, and coordinator, Katie Williams worked together to create the whole evening.
