The Photos I didn't know what I was doing when I first started planning my wedding; thus, it's easy to say I also didn't know what type of photography I wanted for my wedding. What I did know was that when I looked at Teresa K's photography, I was blown away by the images she captured. Teresa's portfolio is what drew me to her and her body of work is what I trusted on my wedding day... and boy did it pay off! My friends, family, husband, and I were all ecstatic about the photos she captured. They were beautiful and better than I could've imagined. I was a do-it-yourself-er (including hair and makeup) and had become resigned to the notion that I wouldn't have one of those "blog-worthy" weddings. Teresa made my wedding look like a dream and had an incredible eye for the landscape and people. The photos turned out quite "blog-worthy" if I do say so myself. The Process Teresa's information was actually forwarded to me by a friend whose cousin got married at the same venue where I was getting married. Teresa was not on my radar since she wasn't local to Lake Tahoe (a couple hours away), however, her rates were competitive. After viewing Teresa's photos and contacting her via email, we video chatted and the rest was history! I very much appreciated Teresa's responsiveness and customer service. She was never too busy nor did she roll her eyes at my unending questions. Leading up to the wedding Teresa and I touched based here and there, and when my timeline was finalized a couple weeks before the wedding, she and I went back and forth in more detail about how to fit everything in. When it became clear that I was going to need more time in the day, Teresa worked with our schedule and budget so that it all could be achieved. It was clear that she really cared about customer satisfaction and communicating. The Photographer Teresa is not a wallflower photographer. She talks to you from behind the lens and really makes you feel comfortable and provides a lot of direction, which my husband and I needed and appreciated. Teresa also commits to her art and really does what it takes to get the shot (including asking some golfers to pause while we grabbed a few snaps from the hole!). I am sure if you wanted something different, that could be discussed, but Teresa took charge from the start and I couldn't be more pleased with her work. Teresa's assistant, John, was also great and took some great photos with the guys getting ready and throughout the day. Overall Conclusion: Teresa's work product speaks for itself, but, if you need a push, my experience says hire her!
Lake Tahoe DJ is a regular at Edgewood and he was easy to work with, knew what he was doing, and responsive. Communication was fairly minimal in the planning stages, but the dance floor was fire and that's all that matters!
Loved working with Tahoe Cakes by Grace. They are a small mom and daughter shop and their cakes are amazing. We did a tasting and knew right away they "took the cake"! Our guests loved the cake and we received a lot of compliments. We opted for half almond cake with strawberry and Italian buttercream filling and triple chocolate cake with raspberry and ganache filling... which were to die for!
I. loved. Edgewood. When we first met with the event planners, they did not seem very flexible, but as the event drew near, they were incredibly accommodating and I could not have asked for a better experience. They are pros at hosting events, especially weddings, and you can put your trust in them. The event coordinators were pretty hands-off, but incredibly responsive to any questions or requests you have... so don't be afraid to ask!
We used Thran's Flowers for the bouquets and I was very happy with how they turned out! Thran's has an extensive portfolio, so if you love the look of the portfolio you will love the look of your flowers! Thran's had several, full, round bouquets in their body of work and that is the look I wanted and was pleased with the results at my wedding.
