I've been visiting Mina for the past seven years. She is my second longest relationship outside of mine with my now husband!! She asks many questions beforehand, and yet, the next visit you feel as though she is your personal stylist. She just knows your hair, will kindly tell you "no" if something isn't going to to work for your hair type, and makes your time in the chair a pleasurable one. Be careful of your time there...the girls at the front desk can be very stingy with her time (because she is so highly wanted) and might book your appointment for only an hour when really you need an hour and a half. Show up early, but don't be surprised if you wait. Like I said, it's not Mina..it's her time schedule not being properly handled at the desk.

Low's Bridal has become almost a rite of passage for the girls in my area, HOWEVER, if Maggie Louise Bridal in Collierville, TN had been opened while I was in search of a dress, I much rather had spent my time with Molly Ferrell, the owner, than at Low's. The first thing that gave me a bad taste in my mouth was the appointment scheduling. You have to call, reserve your appointment by paying $5 (???), and they call you the weekend prior to confirm you appointment. When they called to confirm my appointment on my voicemail, I thought surely they had a typo. They told me my appointment was the week after the one I actually booked. Not a big deal, but my close friend and bridesmaid who was coming with me just so happens to work in retail, and had specifically taken off that particular weekend. When I called to let them know they made a mistake, they told me "nope, we have you down for this date. And we are booked solid for that other date." They weren't willing to work with me at all. Thankfully my friend was able to swap at the last minute to attend. Second strike happened when I got there...they just let me run wild in the large, large space full of bridal bags with no particular direction. I could have been there for hours if I didn't have my mom and two bridesmaids with me! In short, go outside the box, girls. Go to Maggie Louise!

I grew up knowing Amelia, however, when she followed her passion for photography after college graduation, I knew I wanted her as my wedding photographer way before I even had the ring. Amelia has a talent for looking outside the box, and is willing to get her hands dirty for the perfect shot. She works just as much behind the scenes as your photographer as she does with you in front of her lens. She is also always updating her catalog of services to offer her customers the most current modern products and packages. Wonderful spirit all around, and a pleasure to work with...truly. I saw that as one of her brides, and not just as a friend. However, you will find you want to hang out with her after your big day is here and gone. :)

Zerilla Designs is a great option if you want a true one of a kind, self-designed piece. Most brides do not care about the invitations, however, the paper pieces for my big day were at the top of my list.

The Drapers staff were incredible kind and were happy to give us a taste test before the wedding. However, it really wasn't anything special from what I can remember during my wedding day...I would try more catering companies if it were up to me.

I fell in love with the Woodruff-Fontaine House from the second I saw it. I always wanted an outdoor wedding with a breathtaking backdrop, and this was the ticket. Sandwiched between two magnolia trees is an Victorian-style, three and a half story home built in 1871. The photos in front of the home were stunning!
