California does weddings to perfection every. single. time! And when this St. Helena gem came our way, we were immediately obsessed in .01 seconds. Lauren & John make for the cutest of couples, and every picture from Caitlin O'Reilly Photography captures the sheer joy just radiating off of their faces. As always, Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch brings a flawless backdrop to the happiest of days, and we could not dream of a lovelier spot for these two to say "I do." From the glowing bride…..

We went with wood bistro tables covered in burlap and candlelight and bistro lights overhead. Our flowers were simple whites and greens, lots of lush hydrangea (my favorite flower) and green berries. One of the many perks of getting married in such a beautiful place like St. Helena is you don't need much decor. We had the vineyards as the back drop and the warm night sky filled with stars as our "banquet hall." We served family style food and stuck to the Farmstead favorites--brick cooked chicken, warm dinner rolls, kale caesar, and mac and cheese. We also had a fabulous guitarist come down from Tahoe to play acoustic guitar for the ceremony and dinner. After dinner, we headed into the barn for some dancing by the amazing Keith Johnson band. Overall it was a perfect night. Just the right blend of country meets elegance.

    Our Love Story

John & I were set up on a blind date for his company Christmas party. I had plans to attend a good friend's 30th birthday dinner, and John left me a message asking to be his date to the party. I initially thought there was no way I could bail on my friends birthday, but once I called him back, I knew I had to go on that date. We had instant chemistry even over the phone, and it sounds cliché, but I just had this gut feeling that if I didn't go on the date it could be something I would regret forever. So I decided to go for it! He picked me up, and when I walked outside I saw an adorable six foot six man dressed in green corduroy pants covered in Christmas lights, I knew it was going to be an entertaining evening! We immediately hit it off and laughed and danced all night. From that night forward we were inseperable and were engaged less than a year later.
