New Orleans is known for its eclectic and vibrant culture, and this wedding brought to us by Old.New.Blue certainly shows off this city's fun lifestyle. When Lauren & Jake were deciding on a theme for their big day, it only made sense to incorporate a Japanese motif, inspired by the time the spent abroad together in Japan. From an Asian-inspired meal served in a bento box to the kimono Lauren donned later in the evening to the cake modeled after Japanese architecture, no detail was left unnoticed. Studio Tran Photography was there to capture all the fun and festivity of this entire affair at Antoine's Restaurant, and what a party it was. Congratulations Lauren & Jake from all of us at Borrowed & Blue.
From the planner….
One unique aspect of the wedding which Lauren & Jake decided on was decorating the cake area with family heirlooms, including three generations of wedding dresses from mothers and grandmothers, as well as wedding photos and cake toppers from ceremonies decades ago! The personal nature of the decor really made the space feel very intimate and was a stunning visual display of the two families being joined.
