Hello! I’m Lorell, and I own i do Events, the cutest, little wedding planning company in Anchorage, Alaska! I’m a California girl who moved to Alaska in 2009. I tell people that I moved to Alaska for love! I know, kind of cheesy but it’s true! When I moved here, I took a job with a conference planning company and found my passion for event planning. It felt different being on the other side, being the point person who handled ALL the logistics, not just a small part of it. Having this new job sparked something in me that I never knew existed…being a wedding planner! Yep! So that’s when I decided to open my own company in 2011.

There are so many moving parts to plan a wedding that you need someone on your side that’s got “mad” organizational skills, can manage “organized chaos,” keeps calm when the “going gets tough,” and always has a “Plan B!” I pride myself on being that person, so let me be “your person” while we plan one of the most important days of your life!

    I can't say enough wonderful things about working with Lorell. She was truly a magician when it came to making our special weekend absolutely perfect. From the moment we hired her, she took our somewhat random plan and ran with it, turning our vision into a reality that felt like a dream. We went with the one carat package for more day-of wedding management. I knew I could invest time and effort into the planning process leading up to our big day but when it came to the day itself, I wanted someone I could absolutely trust to take the reins and ensure everything went off without a hitch. Lorell was that person. She made it possible for me to approach the day without a single worry or hesitation, and that peace of mind was absolutely priceless. What truly set her apart was her ability to work her magic behind the scenes. I'm sure there were things happening on the back end, but I didn't have a clue about them. That's the mark of a true professional - making everything seem effortless and flawless, so that we could fully immerse ourselves in the joy and love of our family and friends. Looking back at our weekend at Majestic Valley Wilderness Lodge, I think of it as a dream surrounded by so much love. Lorell’s expertise allowed us to bask in the beauty and love of the moment without any distractions while ensuring that we were staying on track. We couldn't have asked for a more dedicated, organized, and capable professional to guide us through this incredible journey.     It was great to work with Lorell leading up to and during our wedding day. We chose the day of coordination package with the addition of 1 hour of assistance on site at the ceremony. For planning we were able to have a couple meetings and kept constant communication. Lorell gave us a number of vendor options including officiants, makeup artists, photographers, music artists, florists, and bakers. On the day, Lorell made sure to stay in contact with all vendors and gather all vendor supplies for the ceremony. She also offered extra services to set up a beautiful cake table at the ceremony site and put together cute charcuterie snack cups for our elopement. Lorell even went above and beyond by setting up our table at the first ceremony site then tearing down and moving to a second ceremony site that was better suited for the weather. Lorell is very friendly and made our day extra special. We are overjoyed that we had her on our side and got to work with her for our big day!

    Lorell was the best decision we made when it came to our wedding! She is incredible! From the day we signed our contract to days after the wedding (over a year), Lorell exceeded expectations. She came to every check-in prepared, she listened and provided her best recommendations, she responded clearly and promptly and she was very organized. There were a lot of moving pieces to our wedding and Lorell handled everything with grace. She was patient and made me feel so calm. I had zero doubt throughout the whole process that things would go smoothly - thanks to Lorell. She works so well with other vendors and they all love her! It couldn't have been as perfect without her. Hire Lorell, you will not regret it.

    Lorell was the perfect wedding planner on so many levels. She is extremely professional, organized, and patient -- what everyone needs from their planner. Things that made her stand out: She allows for unlimited emailing and contact throughout the process and didn't feel like she was "gatekeeping" information just because we didn't get a larger package We didn't feel like a trend or something she could post on instagram just to further her work -- she was invested in us and our needs She values other Alaskan wedding vendors greatly and that is just a general positive sign of her loyalty, support, and never ending feeling of "I have your back" More on the "I have your back", it was so strong and I felt like I had someone on our team, looking out for our best interests and ensured we got what we were looking for within our budget She also has a lot of experience which put me at ease the day of because if anything went wrong I knew she was going to be able to handle it. She recommended the perfect vendors for us and helped assemble a team that she knew would lead the perfect day. She also made great recommendations to get the decor exactly where we wanted and within budget. Lorell provides two website services to help establish a formal timeline that is shared with vendors and a separate site for the vision, resources, and a place to set up your layout. You get a lot for your money! The day of the wedding we didn't have to worry about anything and it came out exactly how we discussed and planned for. She helped give us the perfect wedding 11/10.
