Though it was near 100 degrees on this Portland wedding day, our bride & groom along with all of their friends and family were all smiles. Ready to celebrate their new union, Kristi & Matthew danced the night away with glow sticks in hands and some serious love in their hearts. Their decor was full of thought and shabby chic -- perfectly Portland. Megan Love Photography was the one snapping pictures throughout the day, and her work captured the emotions of the day absolutely beautifully. We are beyond excited to have this wedding on Borrowed & Blue as an inspiration for brides-to-be....Dive on in!
From the photographer....
Kristi + Matthew's wedding on June 30th was held at the McMenamins Cornelius Pass Roadhouse in the Wedding Garden and Octagonal Barn. Uncommon for Oregon weather during that time, the temperatures that day soared near 100 degrees, and the reception venue was not suited for air conditioning. While the conditions outside were less than ideal for a 4:00pm wedding, the couple, along with their friends and family, kept up good attitudes, and we took cover in the shade for most photo-ops. Halfway through the (sweltering) reception, someone made the call to move the party outside after the sun went down, and the cool air was a welcome relief. The party was revived, the guests were happy, and the couple danced into the night with glowsticks and vibrant music. It was a shabby-chic, "Pinterest worthy" vintage affair that tied in so many unique details that it perfectly captured the creativity and thoughtfulness of both Kristi and Matthew.
