Brittany & Brian may call Austin, Texas home, but there was no question that their big day would be in San Francisco. When the time came to chose a venue, the Sir Frances Drake stood out amongst all the rest, as the venue that was the most authentically San Franciscan. The venue is stunning, and required no decorations for the ceremony, and the elegant reception centerpieces only enhanced the room. Anna Marks Photography captured many gorgeous photos of the couple, and their beautiful first look. Of course, the photos in front of the skyline were breath taking! Brittany & Brian's wedding day was positively stunning!

    From the lovely bride...

I wanted our day to feel elegant, but we both also wanted it to feel really fun. We aren't super serious people, so we didn't want to have the day be something that was so overdone and stuffy that it felt forced. We wanted it to reflect us, and the fun we have.

I knew I wanted the wedding to be in San Francisco, so we traveled one weekend from Austin for a venue-viewing marathon. There were some that were easy to rule out, but in the end we went with the Sir Francis Drake because it was so naturally beautiful, and very classically San Francisco.

    The Couple

    Together

Brian and I met at work in an advertising agency in LA. After dating for almost four years, we moved to Austin together to both start business school at UT Austin.

    Our Love Story

Brian proposed really early in the morning, like 5am, right before we headed out on a two week spring break trip to Asia, with some grad school friends. Right before we left to go to the airport, Brian was running around his apartment saying he was forgetting something. After a few minutes of fake searching, he came out of his bedroom and said "I found it, this is what I was forgetting," and knelt down on one knee. I was still half asleep and couldn't believe what was happening!

    Do-It-Yourself

We really wanted our dog to be in the wedding, but the logistics just weren't working out, so the cake topper was kind of our way of having her in it without actually having her there.
