California certainly lives up to its nickname as The Golden State, and weddings like this one show us how absolutely perfect it serves as a backdrop to the most romantic of days. Jessica & Andrew are one of those couples whose love just shines throughout, and it's clear that these two are incredibly cared for by all their family and friends who joined them at Crow Canyon Country Club for a heartfelt celebration. I mean, look at all those smiles! Clearly this was quite the party, and we are so thrilled Indu Huynh Photography wanted to share it with us. M'dears, you are in for quite the treat with this gem, so go ahead and savor in all this goodness before your eyes. Congrats Jessica & Andrew from all of us at Borrowed & Blue!
As an elementary teacher, Jessica is always thinking of a project or craft for her students, so she had no problem starting some DIY projects for the wedding. Her vision for the wedding started several months ago with Pinterest and Brides magazines. She was hoping for an elegant, romantic, soft, and little vintage feel by incorporating lace, pearls, and some vintage items. Her DIY projects include cylinder vases wrapped with lace and trimmed with rhinestone and a floating ivory candle. These vases were at the entry tables, cocktail tables, and head table. Another DIY project were the letters LOVE- she took individual wooden letters, spray painted them gold and placed pearls/seed beads to cover them. These letters were placed on the head table in front of the bride & groom and was such a personal touch. She also used her aunt's vintage suitcase at the gift table. The suitcase acted as the card holder with the letters CARDS hanging from the inside, which was also lined with lace and pearls. The biggest show stopper was this small table with photos from their parents', grandparents', and great grandparents' weddings, it was very special to family and guests and see how much family means to them. Jessica had special cake forks from Etsy that say Mr. on one fork and Mrs. on the other with their wedding date engraved on them. Their wedding colors were mint green and peach, and they made sure to incorporate them not only in their decor, but also in their favors, which were delicious macarons by Sweet Pistachio Patisserie.
