An army brat whose family finally settled in East Tennessee, I spent my adolescent years helping with my family's Bridal/Formal wear and catering … business. While I didn't always enjoy it, I grew to really appreciate the momentous occasions. Though bridal gown and tuxedo styles have changed dramatically over the years, one thing remains unchanged. A man and a woman exchanging vows before God and family and friends is always a wonderful celebration. I left home to attend Savannah College of Art and Design where I was graduated with a BFA in photography. For the next twenty years I worked as a photojournalist at Savannah Morning News where I received numerous awards and contributed to many other publications. I've always had a great respect for our military, and had the privilege of covering our local troops on deployments several times, including as an embedded photographer with the 3rd Infantry Division during the 2003 invasion of Iraq. Working as a photojournalist provided me a wide range of experiences and the ability to tell great stories in pictures. I always anticipate the candid moments, look for the unexpected, and capitalize on every photo opportunity. I pride myself on producing high quality work in a timely manner for a reasonable price and with superior customer service. I would love the opportunity to document your special day. As a teenage boy, helping my family cater and decorate for weddings every Saturday was not my idea of fun. But it gave me a great perspective on what is undoubtedly the biggest day of most peoples' lives. Working as a photojournalist for more than twenty years has developed in me the skills to tell a great story in pictures. I love to capture the candid moments, and I always strive to make the best of the available lighting conditions and surroundings. I would love the opportunity to document your special day!
