Oh, what a delightful wedding we have to share with you today! Katie & Rod's special day takes country chic to a whole new level, taking this beautiful, yet simple farm setting and jazzing it up with some unbelievable details - horses, fresh blooming lavender, seasonal berries, some German culture, and the most outrageously bright and cheerful blooms. Totally swoon-worthy. We are so glad that both Stacy Jacobsen Photography and Manette Gracie Events were on hand for this day, because with their help, The Farm Kitchen looked absolutely flawless.
From the wedding planner....
Katie & Rod planned a lovely celebration at the Farm Kitchen in Poulsbo, Washington. They embraced the farm's rustic setting, and included burlap, fresh berries, and lavender in the bride's bouquets, with sprigs of local rosemary on the tables.
However, they also included German elements-- both connected with their heritage and their profession (Katie is a German teacher), with a German welcome sign, table numbers, as well as a German song performed at dinner. Guests were given copies of the lyrics at their place settings.
Blackbird Bakery provided a collection of cakes for dessert, which featured in season berries as toppers and pie fillings.
In a special moment, the bride & groom chose to read their vows privately to one another later in the evening. At sunset time, they headed out to the lush gardens, and shared this moment with just each other.
