Wendee has been coordinating weddings and meetings in Colorado since 1995 when she was an assistant to two wedding coordinators at Keystone Resort. She spent her mid-career as a meeting planner, traveling while implementing detailed logistics. In 2001, she founded her first full-service wedding & event planning company. Today, Wendee is a high school teacher-librarian, consultant, and planner for intimate destination weddings (small, less than 35 people). She believes in providing high-quality service at an incredible value by doing only small weddings & elopements that are fun and spirited; she believes in doing less, but better.

It's Wendee here.... I believe it is all about *quality*, and not quantity. I believe in having experiences rather than stuff. I believe in living debt-free (and certainly no loans for a wedding!). Recently I read a Facebook post where the bride was 14 days from her wedding and the couple was completely tapped-out... no money for the final venue bill for their large wedding. This is heartbreaking, and unfortunately not uncommon. THIS is the the motivating factor for providing a quality package for those who choose to go small, but with big impact. Our greatest joy is seeing you and your families having a fun, epic and memorable day.

Our packages offer couples the opportunity to have a dreamy wedding, just without the "hoopla" of a big event You have all the necessities: ceremony site, professional photography, fresh florals, an officiant, cake, expert planning and onsite coordination. The best part: it isn't "just" an elopement. Our elopement packages are everything you need and done well!

    Trying to plan a wedding that is 700 miles away and having no idea where to start was daunting. If you are researching how to plan your outdoor, Colorado wedding, stop what you're doing and reach out to Wendee. If I could give 500 stars I would. Wendee and her team/vendors made the entire wedding process not only easy and relatively stress-free BUT the 'day of' exceeded my expectations. The onsite coordinator, Celine, handled anything and everything throughout the day and made sure that every detail was perfect. She helped fluff out my dress, made sure small details were shown for pictures, corralled my family, helped the photographer with different shots, and was just the most accommodating, professional person when it came to making our day perfect. Wendee managed to get our version of a perfect wedding done in 6 months. Throughout the process, she stayed in constant communication and gave recommendations for anything we needed. For each step, she provided a list of vendors she works with and we were able to pick the ones that we thought would be best for our wedding. I loved that we still had input and were able to customize things to match our personalities. I will post this review on every wedding site in hopes that it finds the person who needs to see this and helps them relax because they will be in good hands! Going through Custom Weddings of Colorado was probably the second-best decision behind deciding to get married!
