Eloquent whispers of days gone by welcome guests to Louisville's Gardencourt Estate. Built in 1906 and designed by Shepley, Rutan and Coolidge of Boston for the daughters of Kentucky financier George W. Norton, Gardencourt is a gathering place of choice for many diverse groups of people. Today this classic three-story Beaux Arts home is owned by the Louisville Seminary and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. From its tree lined drive to its formal gardens the stately home and its extensive grounds speak softly of a time when fine craftsmanship was honored and painstaking attention to detail was the height of beauty.
Once you have visited Gardencourt we think you will agree that its beautiful location, secluded, yet nearby east Louisville's Cherokee Park district, will compliment any social occasion.
