Best Local Estate Wedding Venue
At this 1840s home, the walls whisper of legendary parties attended by governors, international dignitaries, and blushing brides alike. Recently redecorated with quintessentially Charleston colors and furnishings, the grandeur of this home - with its avenue of majestic, moss-draped oak trees - is timeless.
"The Venue was incredible. It's like a dreamscape with oak trees, spanish moss, a lagoon, gorgeous trees and the most cute quaint house. We lucked out big time with weather and didn't have to tent anything with led to much of the allure. We got married by the massive oak tree & had our reception under the avenue of the oaks. We had our own 165 person party in the woods. People cannot stop telling us how memorable it was and perfect. "
"The Legare Waring House property was an utter dream to be married on! We opted for a Friday wedding because the Saturday price point was quite high for us to consider (however, it all goes towards the park and is money well spent!). The house was comfortable and so beautiful to get ready in on the morning of the wedding, and the groom and groomsmen enjoyed their suite as well. The property is dog friendly, so we had our pup with us to enjoy the day as well. Working with the sales manager, Julie Ann, and site coordinator, Courtney, was a very positive experience from start to finish. They allowed us to peek at a real wedding setup one weekend, and we could enter and plan on the grounds any day before 6pm. The only downside of being married at Legare Waring House is that the hours for weddings are very strict -- 6pm to 11pm, and we feel we could have enjoyed one more hour. A golf cart was at our disposal on the Big Day for our photographer to sweep us to beautiful locations. We are so excited that we will forever be able to visit and relive our marriage at this State Historic Park."
"Spectacular venue. We used both sites (ceremony outside of the LWH in the Ave of Oaks, party in Founder's). The ceremony was stunning, the people were helpful and the amenities in Founders were perfect (easy for the band to set up, great acoustics, A/C, industrial kitchen, etc.) ...5 stars! "
"The Legare Waring House was a beautiful venue for a wedding. Since the venue had such spectacular views, we felt like we didn't have to spend as much on decor. If you are looking for a southern outdoor venue then the Legare Waring House is hard to beat. "
"Everyone at LWH was always extremely helpful and organized. The grounds are beautiful and don't require much in the way of décor since nature provided most of it, if not all. I wouldn't have changed anything about my experience with LWH!"
"The park was a spectacular site of true natural beauty. We had a mid-week wedding so all we needed to pay was admission to the park! The people at Legare were super sweet and accommodating and let us take full advantage of their surrounding property since there was nothing going on that day- thanks Legare!!!"
"The Legare Waring House is absolutely gorgeous! Everything was perfect, and everyone who works there is extremely nice and helpful. It was awesome to have everyone in one place all day, getting ready and watching the vendors set everything up."
"They totally met my expectations and were very helpful in securing additional questions as well as just being all around wonderful. Their service was so great that I would totally have another event there. Hmm, perhaps a 5 year renewal! "
"They were wonderful. It was a stress-free experience, and there were no last minute surprises. Everything was explained completely up front. Beautiful venue. We're glad we chose them. Being married under the Avenue of Oaks was a unique experience for us. "
