Vendors in this Wedding
Absolutely recommend for those that want an intimate outdoor space for a wedding- I think their max capacity is 125 people. It felt so cozy but spacious with lots of areas to explore and the fallen tree as backdrop for our ceremony was stunning. We also loved being able to eat under the setting sun & twinkling strands of lights and dancing under the tent. The only thing that didn't go as well was the way the owners and manager handled the music situation. There were conflicting stories between our DJ/wedding planner & the site manager/owners about the decibel level of the music being played so I'm not even sure what really happened. I was hoping they would work it out, but the owners at one point came up to me and told us they may need to shut us down if we didn't get the music volume down since their neighbors were calling and complaining that it was too loud for a school night. We had the venue until 10PM and she approached me a little after 9PM. I just felt it wasn't really the best way to address the situation and felt they should've worked it out w my coordinator and DJ. We are not big dancers so we really weren't going for a dance party vibe, so just bear in mind that if you want a loud dance party, this is not the place for it. There are noise restrictions in Lyons and they don't allow you to have a band w drums or music above a certain level if you have a DJ.
Food was incredible! The one thing we didn't want was your standard/typical wedding caterer and really wanted fresh, local food as well. Catering by Plenty really blew us away. They also were super affordable and were upfront about costs (taxes, service fees, etc). Everything was built into the quote so there were no hidden fees. They worked with us to develop a menu that suited our tastes. I will say they don't do tastings so I really had to just trust reviews and I'm SO glad we did. Lyle uses ingredients from his farm and other local farms and we/our guests thought the meal was amazing. They also bring in their own plates and the appetizer stations were beautiful! Not like your standard buffet set up. Everything about Catering by Plenty (the team, the food, the process) was great and I cannot recommend them enough!
Mallory was so easy to work with and it was a plus that her husband is a 2nd shooter/part of the package. The pictures we received (all accessible online!) were stunning and our mom's raved about how beautiful they were.. the joy, laughter and love she was able to capture reflected the day exactly as how we remembered it. So happy we went with Mallory!
Boulder Baked was awesome and we were able to get exactly what we wanted for a fraction of the price of other 'wedding' bakers. We wanted a cookie & mini cupcake spread and everything we ordered from them was delicious. ESPECIALLY their vegan/GF options (pumpkin spice cupcakes) which was great since we had a few guests that had dietary restrictions. This was a great/affordable option since we didn't want a full blown wedding cake. They were able to do funfetti as requested by my husband for our small 8inch round that we used for our 'wedding' cake. and it was sooo yummy!
To be honest, I didn't care about flowers and didn't want a huge chunk of our budget to go towards these. At first I did just go with the Farmette flowers because they were on site (didn't have to pay for delivery), but once I started looking at her instagram feed of past work, I am so happy I didn't look elsewhere at all. My planner said the quote was incredibly reasonable for what I was asking for and I really just sent Helen some pictures of what my vision was. She executed PERFECTLY and all the flowers from that day were STUNNING. I cannot recommend Helen enough and even if you don't have a wedding at the Farmette, you should use her for your flowers!
Jaclyn was amazing! I was only looking for a day-of coordinator as I was going to do everything else myself, but she went above and beyond what we hired her for. I really appreciated all the time she took to give me advice on the vendors I found and logistics as well as EVERYTHING else. We met quite a few times before the wedding and had phone calls/ many emails about all the details. She put together a timeline for me and was super organized throughout. The one thing I couldn't picture was how the decor was going to fit in and Jaclyn hit it out of the park with that. I had purchased a bunch of random things I thought would go with what I wanted and just by seeing pictures of what I liked, she really made my vision come alive. So happy we used her and I recommend her 100%!
Played exactly what we wanted (90s!) and were really easy to work with. Didn't have to put a deposit down which was nice for budgeting purposes. DJ was super fun and at one point even got out on the dance floor for a dance off with some of our guests.
