As you know, we absolutely adore weddings. But when you add in DIY touches plus your own pup, our wedding adoration goes up to wedding obsession! Our stunning couple, Courtney and Ryan, chose to use Rachel Olsen Photography for their special day, and what a smart decision that was! We love all the intimate shots captured of Courtney and Ryan in the field with their precious dog, Dexter. We also love that Rachel Olsen Photography was able to spot so many of the beautiful details from the day and capture them on film. Courtney's bouquet, the feather boutonnieres, Dexter's doggy clothes, and the delectable snacks and treats at the reception are just a few incredible touches that made this day so special. We could really go on and on, but the images speak for themselves....

    From the photographer....

It was an incredible day in the Vail Valley! Courtney and Ryan put together the most wonderful day to celebrate their love for one another. They were surrounded by friends and family, and their day sparkled with amazing DIY touches. The amazing feather boutonnieres and Dexter’s (the dog) tux were made by Courtney’s mom . The invites and programs were made by Ryan’s sister. Two close friends stepped in; one as the officiant, and the other as the DJ. The antique jars and dollies were Courtney’s Grandma’s. And the food was prepared by Courtney’s parents, her mom’s friends, and their friend, TK. It was served by her aunts. What an amazing group effort!

The day was full of laughter, smiles, and tears of happiness. Courtney and Ryan beamed, and their love and enthusiasm was contagious. I loved (as Courtney said) how the day went from a beautiful wedding into a back yard BBQ with yard games and all. It created the most fun, relaxed atmosphere (the Red Bull and Vodka fountain helped too!). The day was complete with tear jerking toasts and great dancing by all. And I have to say, they might have had the most unique cake I have ever seen - a cheese cake. A cake made of actual cheese. And the best part was when they made the announcement, “Now it is time for Courtney & Ryan to cut the cheese!”
