DJ Mark Maskell is an experienced wedding DJ in the Washington DC area with a background in DC nightclubs and expertise extending far beyond simply rocking the dancefloor after dinner. In addition to DJing hundreds of weddings over 15+ years, Mark has worked extensively as a wedding coordinator and works closely with clients to ensure that the day flows smoothly.

I love to travel! Weddings beyond the usual 12-hour driving radius from the Washington DC area are priced primarily on the cost of expenses (flight, hotel, local equipment rental, vehicle rental, hiring local stage crew, etc) and are given custom quotes. Below are some recent quotes and bookings, all included full ceremony, cocktail, dinner coverage plus uplighting.

    It’s always so refreshing meeting a wedding vendor that truly just loves his job and genuinely wants the best for his clients. That was my first impression upon meeting Mark who will literally do whatever he can to turn your dance floor dreams to life. Mark really goes above and beyond for his clients and even offers to help plan your day outside of your music and lighting needs. He is willing to travel and will come as early as he can to setup and stay as late as he can to ensure that all of your lighting, speaker and music needs are met. Mark even came to our final walkthrough and helped advocate for us with our coordinator to make sure the caterer and venue were accommodating our requests. I can’t tell you how many people told my husband and I how much they loved our DJ after the wedding between his energy, playlist, all of the amazing uplifting he added in for the speeches, the dance party lights, and we received compliments about how friendly he was in the buffet line chatting with all of our guests. Mark is really the best out there and we hope we get to attend another wedding or event where Mark is the DJ as we really miss working with him already. Thank you for everything Mark- we appreciate you and your amazing work so so much!!

    DJ Maskell was the DJ at a wedding we went to several years ago, and even though we weren't even engaged at that point, we immediately asked him for his card because he was hands-down the best DJ at any wedding we'd ever been to. Once we got to the point of planning our wedding, he was the first vendor we reached out to, and working with him was the best decision we made! In addition to being incredible at DJing and giving us the amazing dance party we were hoping for (especially after multiple COVID-related postponements), DJ Maskell also served as a de facto wedding planner in the weeks leading up, since we didn't have a planner. He was incredibly helpful at keeping us on track, and without him, everything would not have gone nearly as smoothly as it did. When we had an incident with the smoke alarm at our venue going off for an extended period of time, DJ Maskell saved the night by playing the perfect music to drown it out. And one of our favorite memories of the evening was one of us getting to DJ with him for a while... Lastly, he was of course extremely patient in working with us as we rescheduled our wedding not once but twice. We hope you make the same A+++ decision that we did and go with DJ Maskell!!!

    We couldn't recommend Mark enough!!! He is a vendor that is truly there for you and your big day. This is evident by the amount of time he spent meeting/helping us get all our details together, including awesome lights, and he even came to our venue walk-through and rehearsal to help make sure things would run smoothly. We never expected to have a DJ who could be such a great coordinator, but Mark was amazing in both roles. Mark was truly an amazing partner to work with. He really helped us feel prepared, comfortable, and ready to go! He provided guidance throughout the wedding planning process, helped us get out the door the day of the wedding, had an air pump ready to go when our officiant’s tire was flat, gave us day of reminders, kept the day on schedule and running smoothly as master of ceremonies. This guy can do it all! And of course, his DJing was great. The dance floor was packed all night and our guests had the best time dancing the night away with us! Mark took our preferences to heart and created a great atmosphere for all of our guests throughout the evening. MARK ROCKS!

    My fiance and I were looking for a DJ who would get the party started early on, and keep it going throughout the entire night. We found just that with DJ Mark Maskell! Mark worked closely with us throughout our planning months to curate a vibe and playlist that matched our vision perfectly. He handled everything from the ceremony, to cocktail hour, to the reception and late night dancing. He was honest with his feedback, and listened extremely well, making sure to play only the genres of music that we enjoy. Our guests were up and dancing all night long and had nothing but positive things to say about Mark and his music selection. He did a beautiful job with the lighting/uplighting to accentuate all of the beautiful reception details and the dance floor party. The price for his services was also very reasonable! We highly recommend DJ Mark Maskell!
