Nestled on 80 acres with a view of the Potomac River, Riverside on the Potomac offers a bride or host several options for locating their event. The sites are surrounded by perennial gardens and Virginia boxwoods creating beautiful backgrounds in all photos. Riverside on the Potomac will host just one event a day.
Our reception sites include the Historic Bank Barn, the Waterfall Terrace and Patio, and for smaller receptions, the Long Stable Gallery. Each venue site includes the use of a caterer’s tent, electricity and running water for your rental restroom area(s). The Historic Bank Barn will be completely renovated and available for the Spring 2013 event season. It will accommodate 275 guests and includes a dance floor, cocktail reception area, and caterer’s preparation space.
The barn will be decorated with antique country tables, corner cupboards, and unique accent accesssories. The barn has “up-lighting” and thousands of twinkling lights which sets the mood for an enchanting reception.
The WaterFall Terrace and Patio can be used for a ceremony, cocktail reception or as a tent site. As a tent site it provides a 75 by 55 foot area that is surrounded by lighted flagstone walls leading to a flagstone observation patio. This space will accommodate a up to a 60 by 40 foot tent that typically supports a seated reception for 150 guests or 200 for a ceremony. In addition to your tent location the patios, terraces and Stable Gallery are available for your use. These areas can be used for rehearsal dinners, cocktail hours or small parties.
Every event requires the support of multiple vendors who bring their special talents to Riverside on the Potomac at your request. We will provide list of preferred vendors that includes all categories of support from which you can choose as fits your vision of your event. Your contract with these vendors is separate from your contract for use of Riverside on the Potomac. We will consider the use of other vendors on our site as long as they are licensed and insured for business in Loudoun County.
