Ruby was a Pastry Chef in the New Orleans restaurant scene for 6 years before starting her own business. Opening Brooklyn Girl Bakery was the culmination of years working as a pastry chef and cake decorator in the Philly suburbs. As someone who loved all things wedding related, I decided to venture out on my own so I could focus all my energy making beautiful and delcious cakes.

I've been in business for about 21 years my skills are as you see my flavor choices are listed on my website there are about 15 or more to choose from. I feel decoration is just as important as flavor.
